Phil Jackson was more effective. But the high expectations for immediate gratification kill all comers.

I was against hiring Rose, but his early moves seemed savvy. We've added some nice talent, made some good signings (I liked EF still do).

But the results are the results and this is year 3 of regression. Mitchell is probably going to come in tomorrow and put up 30+ on stupid efficient shooting. And we apparently had chance to get him, but valued Grimes and RJ too much?

Rose was a smart hire. However, when the FO is filled with yes men its no good. You need hell-raisers in NY or its business as usual.

No, he doesn't!! The last 3 guys he hired had 0 experience a teams president of basketball operations. They may have been the best in their business; Rose as an Agent, Phil as a coach, but not the best in the business that we need them to be.

They wanted RJ, Grimes and 1 of Obi or IQ. Then on top of that they wanted 3 unprotected picks and swaps. I am sorry but that is just too much. We would have nothing left over to improve our team after gutting it. Right now we suck with draft picks. With the trade the Jazz wanted we would suck with no hope for the future.

I thought that as well, and was initially against the trade. And maybe that is right.

But now it looks like a bad move to have passed.
