We’re in dire need of a shooting guard but from here on in I think we need to upgrade our game at the 5 man.I’m long for guys 6-9 and up who have two way skills. I’ve watched all year and our big men for the most part get in the way of our offense. Hartenstein is a decent back up but He’s not a 100% keeper— either is Robinson. We can prob keep sims on the cheap as a third guy who Shouod continue to get better. But we need a guy who can defend on one end BUT score on the other.

Myles Turner is available this summer. Ayton will be available via trade as well.

Are you saying small ball big man? If I suggest a player that was 6'9 with a 7'3 wingspan and can shoot 50% from 3, would you be a buyer? Cause his name is Toppin.

You know I gonna spin wit it

i don't think this is our problem. Julius and now Obi have shown they can shoot

i think our problems are we have defensive centers but still use defensive schemes as if we had mediocre defensive centers. We pack the paint (too much IMO) to defend the rim and being too weak on perimeter D. Way too many open 3s because our guys (eg weak side) are sagging off too far with not enough time to close; plus we make it too easy for the ball to move -- Kevin Love for example burned us because he had an easy time catching passes and could shoot before there was any pressure. A guy like that you need to deny the pass. Same too with KD. Your best defense against KD is to deny him the ball. Once he gets it your odds go down. I think we need to trust our defensive bigs more, and trust our on ball defense more.

What we need is shooting from the wings. Our best scorers are sub-par shooters (not horrendous but they are below average). Our SF (Cam) is way too unreliable and a bad shooter at the moment. We need some knock down shooters with killer instincts who rise to the occasion. Ideally these would be your primary guys but it's not absolutely necessary. I'd take a Robert Horry or Mario Ellie type, if we couldn't get a Paul Pierce

ideally Grimes could do that. And hopefully Cam will improve and relax

last night was dreadful but that was us at our worst, not typical selves.

Obi s too slender. I’m talking 6-9/7-1 245/270 that can block shots defend the paint but can shoot handle and drive

I'm praying for lottery luck and we can get the big man this franchise needs.

A big man who can score? We need PLAYERS that can score. Maybe then the Knicks can go from trifling to simply middling.

And we all laughed at BroPez for years. The dude still huffs and puffs as a big dude whose defense got better and can hit the long shot!

Our biggest hole is a starting caliber 2 guard, hopefully grimes can become that. But I’m not holding my breath. Knicks have a lot of pieces, if AD is available I’m sure we will be the front runners to make that move.

We desperately need a lights out shooting 2 guard that can play NBA level defense. Again grimes might be that but only time will tell

Robin Lopez was glad to be a Knick and took to New York. Had a great outlook and played pretty well for another bad Knicks team. And then we traded him for the first Derrick Rose “Train” tour. We hardly knew ye.

I’m sure we could trade with the Suns.

Mitch, Fournier, Rose, Reddish for Ayton and Crowder works. Not sure how good Aton actually is though.

We don't want to make the same mistake of not picking something we actually need (Haliburton) and instead picking a kid that does not fill a "todays NBA" need (Obi)

Messing with you. Obi is lighting it up. Love the energy. However, realists will remind you that it's only 11 games and he is actually now shooting 40%. He also shot 30% the previous two years.
He is slowly moving towards a starter and away from just an energy dunker off the bench. But he has to continue to show consistency. Think he can with patience.

As for draft.....We need 3 and D player that can guard multiple positions and MOST importantly SHOOT the three!!

Most depressing season ever. 2016. Why? We actually started out good (16-13) and then it all fell apart and rose was depressed and running off to fight custody battles during the entire season instead of playing

Wasted Carmelo’s final season and Porzingis before he became a prima donna idiot scarecrow
