Eric Gordon is a good player but not sure he moves the needle much with our current roster. We have a lot of guys with that skill set, even if Gordon is more polished than most. Thing with Hayward is he moves RJ to the 2, and he's a just sub all star player right now. Hayward is as good as anyone on our roster, his problem is staying on the court, but he's great when he is. He's also a guy who really benefits/helps a balanced roster. That's a pretty good front 4 behind Mitch
Hayward has the same strengths and weaknesses as Fournier. He's just taller, less reliable and might be a worst defender (as far as lateral movement).
Eric Gordon is solid, but also inconsistent.
These types of trades are good for a playoff team. But for us, I doubt it moves the needle at all.
Either we make a trade that put us into playoff contention or trade the vets (EF, Randle, Rose) for picks or young bench players. And let the chips fall with the youth. Grab a decent pick and do it again, until the right trade comes around. Meanwhile continue to build and strengthen our base so when we land that major All Star player, we will have a ready made playoff team by then.
