Being born in 1985 this is a question I've asked myself since a kid in the 1990s back home in Queens and still ask myself still to this day now in Florida.

Which players on our current 2022 Knicks team would you all consider as potential Championship Pieces (winning ball players)?

What is our current biggest team weakness? What are we lacking in order to be considered as NBA Championship Contenders? How many impactful pieces are we missing and must add?

Thanks in advance to those who have answers to my questions unfortunately I wasn't alive early 70's and don't know what Champaign tastes like.

Evan Fournier clearly championship caliber. The sharpshooter every team needs.

Dude, champagne is cheap. Brut is like $6 a bottle. Go for it!

I technically got to see. I started being a fan midway 72-73, they won it all. Seems like 5 lives ago

I wouldn’t be shocked if we did make a finals run once in the next 3-4 years with this roster. The Celtics did it last year and they really don’t have that much more talent than our current roster. As much as I say the East is better this year there aren’t any teams that are completely unbeatable in a 7 game series other than Milwaukee

I'm not expecting to see a championship in my lifetime tbh. Hope I'm wrong.

Tatum is top 10 talent. Might be 5.
Brown? Bonafide Allstar. Top 20? 25?
Both have upside given their ages.
WE have players with upside. Anyone on our roster have that Cred at the moment?
Im not saying we won’t if they keep improving and we make a deal/luck/free agent, but that is conceptual.
You said they don’t have much more talent. They do. their issue is depth.

We went 2-2 against the Celtics last year and now we have an actual point guard who is good and Cam is significantly improved.

They went to the finals last year despite splitting our series.
Im happy, but Brunson is not likely to lead us to the promised land quite yet.
Happy if I'm wrong!

Well if the Celtics are on a different world than the Knicks talent wise I expect them to actually win their games against us this year

The Celtics got on a roll at the right time last year other than Tatum and brown they’re pretty basic . Marcus smart is a great defender and below average offensive player, Williams is out and are starting old Al… I would bet money, that roster never sniffs the chip again. You could argue that we have more talent but we don’t have a Tatum or brown… there’s a reason we split the series, we match up well vs them, and our bench is light years ahead of there’s.

Not as long as James Dolan owns the team. Sorry. We are lucky to have a winning season. If we have two or three winning seasons in a row, that's as good as it will get. If we do though, look for Dolan to bring in consultants using his business genius to improve on that winning.

The convo was their talent last year and since they made it to finals, why can't we.
Mostly stars carry teams. Brunson is a big upgrade and makes us better but We don't have anyone on Tatums level. RJ is trending to Browns level.
