He’s a f monster. If he can stay healthy and refine his skills— he can be great. Orlando is 0-4 but they are far from a shtty team. They have a lot of guys out. Also I bet they wish they didn’t sign issacs long term.

still surprised Denver didn't keep him

i heard rumors about attitude in the Thon Maker sense (people thinking they're the next great thing)

Mo Bamba is going to ride pine if Bol keeps playing the way he did

I have heard people here saw we would look at Mo Bamba in the past and I dont get it... he's an absolute turtle. Appears to have no hustle or motor. I dont get what people like about him

Bigs not afraid to shoot 3s will always be someone knick fans want. But with the addition of Hart, those talks died quick, which is good for us. Mo Bama hasn’t looked very good as gas as consistency.

Bol Bol was great on offense but Mitch exposed his 1 on 1 post defense. Bol Bol doesn’t have the strength and gets pushed around in the half court post area. So bol is tricky. He gives and takes away. Not sure what position he can guard. At least on the Knicks he can’t guard Randle or Mitch. He’s a tweener on offense and defense. But he’s very affective on offense and with help defensive settings.

I felt old when Breen and Clyde mentioned how they saw Cole Anthony, Brunson and Bol Bol dad's all play. I did too!

I remember Mo had a real tough time with COVID. I wonder how much that set back his development. Anyway, I only saw him as a back up option. I'm good with Hart now.

centers shooting 3s is wildly overrated. All that matters is good 3s. Same **** with Myles Turner who is utterly average at everything but people love his sub league average ability to throw one at the hole from deep.

I just dont get this assumption that people come up with, that because our center shoots 3s the other team's center will follow him out. Steve Adams's offensive rebounding probably was the single thing that won Memphis the game. Did he follow Hart out the 3 point line? No. Why? Because he knows a wing can effectively guard him out there. Unless you have a guy like KAT or Embiid or Jurkic (3 of the NBA's best PLAYERS) there is no need need to guard the jump shooting big with another big. If anything it ensures we have no chance of an offensive rebound.

You all have see IHart quite a bit now... you really want this guy spotting up for 3? My god you are doing the other team a favor. He should be out there briefly for a couple designed plays but otherwise keep the centers in the center. Our centers are fantastic on the offensive glass and being physical for loose balls. That's their strength and it's critical to the team

After 3 games we have 2 strong wins where we controlled the area around the basket and 1 loss where we did not. Steve Adams is among the best in the business. I think Mitch is showing he's got another level or two to go up and IHart is a phucking steal.

The 3 is obviously a huge part of the modern analytical shot but point blank still trumps.

Anyway on Bol... he looked great, but I see his game as a 4. Last night he reminded me of a 7'3 Tayshaun Prince... slasher, shooter, could guard crazy amounts of space

Most of the Bomba "We need to sign him" was based on him coming home to Harlem and his wingspan.
obviously Hart fits our needs very well for the second unit.

Bamba was a contingency plan last offseason in case the FO didn’t lock up Mitch. The talent is definitely there and Thibs could develop him. Who cares we did the right thing and kept Mitch anyway

“Who cares”? What is that? Response is adolescent, like you got caught in a lie?

Well then I guess there’s lots of old guys on this forum. Because I remember their dads as well. And I never considered myself old but I guess I am now 😆

if orlando wanted my advice it would be don't use Bol at the 5

instead use him at 4 or even 3 Carter Banchero and Bol is a lot of length and they all have a lot of skill

and while i'm talking about the Magic i am unimpressed by C.Anthony, Suggs, and Fultz

Bamba was your hypothetical contingency plan, not the Knicks plan. Knicks would have been happy with a S&T and letting Hart and Jericho and Taj run.

It was just my plan? Is that why Bamba was publicly lobbying DM to demand a trade to the Knicks last May before we resigned Mitch? I got on the phone with Bamba and asked him to do my Knicks a solid

Im sure there is humor in your statement but your deflecting again. Bomba is a ny kid and twitter or what ever he broadcasted out on was one NY kid saying he should come home. But again, you said it was “A contingency plan”.
No, it was a tweet by a pending free agent from the Orlando organization.j. Why double down on stupidity?
You attempted to link (you don’t know how this **** works yet?)a blog post that only reported what Bomba broadcasted. That makes it legit? Thats your basis to defend “The contingency plan”? You so above it all that being wrong is not in your wheelhouse?

What impresses me the most about Bol is his fearlessness driving to the rim, with his wiry frame. At more than 7ft tall.
