Mo Bamba is going to ride pine if Bol keeps playing the way he did
I have heard people here saw we would look at Mo Bamba in the past and I dont get it... he's an absolute turtle. Appears to have no hustle or motor. I dont get what people like about him
Bigs not afraid to shoot 3s will always be someone knick fans want. But with the addition of Hart, those talks died quick, which is good for us. Mo Bama hasn’t looked very good as gas as consistency.
Bol Bol was great on offense but Mitch exposed his 1 on 1 post defense. Bol Bol doesn’t have the strength and gets pushed around in the half court post area. So bol is tricky. He gives and takes away. Not sure what position he can guard. At least on the Knicks he can’t guard Randle or Mitch. He’s a tweener on offense and defense. But he’s very affective on offense and with help defensive settings.
centers shooting 3s is wildly overrated. All that matters is good 3s. Same **** with Myles Turner who is utterly average at everything but people love his sub league average ability to throw one at the hole from deep.
I just dont get this assumption that people come up with, that because our center shoots 3s the other team's center will follow him out. Steve Adams's offensive rebounding probably was the single thing that won Memphis the game. Did he follow Hart out the 3 point line? No. Why? Because he knows a wing can effectively guard him out there. Unless you have a guy like KAT or Embiid or Jurkic (3 of the NBA's best PLAYERS) there is no need need to guard the jump shooting big with another big. If anything it ensures we have no chance of an offensive rebound.
You all have see IHart quite a bit now... you really want this guy spotting up for 3? My god you are doing the other team a favor. He should be out there briefly for a couple designed plays but otherwise keep the centers in the center. Our centers are fantastic on the offensive glass and being physical for loose balls. That's their strength and it's critical to the team
After 3 games we have 2 strong wins where we controlled the area around the basket and 1 loss where we did not. Steve Adams is among the best in the business. I think Mitch is showing he's got another level or two to go up and IHart is a phucking steal.
The 3 is obviously a huge part of the modern analytical shot but point blank still trumps.
Anyway on Bol... he looked great, but I see his game as a 4. Last night he reminded me of a 7'3 Tayshaun Prince... slasher, shooter, could guard crazy amounts of space
