Crawford is a good player who may turn into a very dynamic talent, but it is in the teams best interest to eventually package crawford with an expiring contract, to try to get something in return.

Pietrus is coming off the bench in Golden State and they don't have much money left to spend. If he is availble and for the mid-level Isiah should snatch him up, he is only 22, Ariza is 19, and Sweets is young, give them three years together and they become a very defensive minded unit.

And by the good graces maybe we get another steal in the draft, or an elton brand becomes available.

We need to get defensive minded players to go with our athletes.

haven't seen much of Piertrus, but I hear good things. Defensive minded 2 guard. And he is playing behind Richarson. I like the idea of packaging Craw, but only if you can replace with this type of guy.

We would be really thin at Center if we did that. Baker hasnt shown any promise this year. I'd rather send Craw.

I don't really understand what's the point of this thread.

Craw has been under wraps if you ask me. Craw has been playing a controled type of basketball. I think it's only gonna make him better.

Craw is getting like 2 steals per. I haven't seen any team try to post him up or anything like that. So what's the point?

Craw and Marbs play a similiar game but to me that works only if the rest of the team is matches this style of play.

I think saying trade Craw for Pietrus is too soon. We've seen Craw dominate teams last year with his scoring. He'll be alright.

Timmy and Nazr are the problems people.

The Knicks DON'T NEED a SG. They need a C or a PF who can post up, play post defense, block shots, and run the floor.

and then you trade him and you NEED a shooting guard. Before this year we NEEDED both, now we only need one. Unless your upset Isiah didnt turn Layden's roster into the a contender overnight. Crawford at 25 IS part of the future.

You need the scoring to come from somewhere... I like Pietrus also, I like a lot of players, Crawford among them. A defensive minded 2 coming off the bench is something we cant later.

Athletes are only good if you have post play, shooting and a PG that can break down the D and get into the paint. OTherwise you just have a Bobcats.

People need to be patient. We need an athletic defender at the 5. Give the GM another year to get one.

I don't understand why people think we need to get rid of Crawford. These people weren't saying this when they heard about the trade. Has this 2-4 start really been so unbearable that we need to start trading players who are key parts of our future?
