HOF twice. Nice work! My favorite all time knick. First with his own sneaker, two chip and never complained about not being a series MVP.
He sacrificed some game to make it work with earl.
Embodied cool with not showing negative emotions or preening when successful. He lead.

Behind the mike I can’t say its about broadcasting excellence. He is good, articulate and has his vocabulary thing but perhaps very much about longevity and identifying his brand with his team. Either ways he is a NY treasure!
That his honored on a national basis is cool. Clyde is cool. One day he’ll retire and one of the last links to the golden era will have moved on.

over christmas I want to the Puma store looking to perhaps buy some “Clydes”. Funny that they don’t use the brand on the Suede but on the leather. I recall “Basket” was the white leather with black stripe back in the day and the color suedes were “clyde”. Not much selection for dude.

Only sad part is we may have learned that his Knicks broadcasting days may be limited - he has talked about hanging it up in 3 years.

I hope he (and we!) make it three more years and I hope he keeps going. But I will savoir every minute. He has made being a Knick fan tolerable.
