You have 8-9 guys who have good talent good chemistry they like each other
Their skills are synergistic play hard. Kind of like the old Detroit pistons. Focus on good defense moving the ball taking good shots having good shot distribution. And bottom line they player 3.5 great games. I don’t think we need to spend 25 draft picks and all our young chemistry on a very good player but one that I doubt fits it so incredibly well with Brunson.

It’s obvious we traded pick 11 for assets to trade. Ok. But we are pretty good now. Really good new pg w rose as back up which will help the team a great deal. Unless we get a great deal that’s really in our favor and makes sense. Don’t spend just because u have it

Focus on being a good team with what we have and if we need to adjust mid season. Than we still have the money in the bank. We’re in great position. Let’s keep it for now

You think Ainge is a pain now, how much of b!#h will Masai be if Leon gets him on the phone? "I will say this again: PHUCK NY! I want Grimes, IQ, 4 picks, my own personal Subway car for the team, Hartenstein... No, no keep him! I want his girl! And Randle's oldest son! And I want Rick Brunson! I can dress him up in a mini-Barney outfit and we can do a Masterblaster theme when we celebrate Rob Ford day...and we'll also need lots of crack!"

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

i get the logic to focus on a SF

But, but, but the key factor Donovan will bring to the table will be scoring when you need a bucket, and when the other team knows whose tasked with getting that bucket. He can do that. And, one can at least hope that he will provide D. He had those skills when he entered the league.

not sure if Randle, RJ, Brunson are that guy. OG isn't

Didn't we just sign Brunson for that, and how are we going to play a 6'1" backcourt, when neither guard is a great defender? If we had not gotten Brunson, then I would be all in for Mitchell because you can move him to the PG spot, but we got Brunson, so in my view, unless we can get Mitchell for what the Hawks gave up to get Murray, I would pass on him and focus on other needs. Plus, I really like Grimes. I think he will be a poor man's Mitchell in terms of his ability to score once Thibbs fully unleashes him, and Grimes is an A+ defender.

I don’t see Brunson as that guy who you count on for the tough bucket. I agree w most everything else you say especially grimes

Regarding Donovan he has been very good on D. Last 2 years not so much. Critical issue will be if CS truly thinks they can get DM playing elite at both ends the way all the great ones have.

And of course the price has to be reasonable

I am a skeptic about the trade but I can understand the allure. What we really should be pulling for is for Julius to return to all nba form (something DM hasn’t attained).
