If the Knicks waive Taj I think they have a max slot… or this could all be to be able to pay Brunson and Mitch and not go into the Tax before they pay RJ.

Detroit's not going to be terrible. This trade improves Knick's chances on getting the Piston's 2023 pick. Bonus!

Rough year for Noel last year. But aside from that, two of my favorite players.

Leon with the masterclass. Three first rounders next year. More than enough to spare for that upcoming Murray deal. Also, a double kick to the nuts for Dallas. They could've played ball, but now we don't have to give them anything.

Same! Thibs gave him a raw deal having him play PG. On a positive note this opens up playing time for our young players.

Moving off 19M in space without having to give up a first round pick. 28M if you include Kemba.

Hope we got the verbal commitment from Mitch if we're officially shipping out Nerlens.

Always liked Burks...He was miscast last season but he's been a solid player for us. Wonder if we are keeping Cam? This should open playing time for him.

Could Miles Bridges be in the Knicks future? Deandre Ayton? Might be possible to get both if they can move Fournier for Murray and use Robinson’s 1.8m cap hold and bird rights to leverage their salary.

Murray
Barrett
Bridges
Randle
Ayton

1) Fournier and picks to SAS for Murray
2) Bridges is RFA. Offer max contract using Cap Space.
3) Ayton is RFA. Use Robinson and Reddish in sign and trade.

This is the Randle.

Do you think Cam can step into bench/role. Alec, when Rose was out, was the one guy you could count on to create a shot from the wing during a broken play. Cam, with his size and athleticism, would seem like the perfect guy to plug into that role.

This is great trade for Detroit. They get two solid veterans for cheap on expiring deals. The vets can help their youth and the Pistons will have the option of trading Burks at the deadline for a pick.

As for us, we have all the cap space we need to sign Brunson and we did not have to give up much to do it.
