He's 6'8 with a 7'2 wingspan. He's build like Kawhi but has more a frontcourt game than a wing game. He's usually guarding 4s and switching on 3s and 5s really well. That program isnt the best so he's gonna have some sketchy habits I suspect but its hard not to like his game I love Eason and at 11 I hope we take him, if we can't get Sharpe. I think his high motor for that size with good offensive skills is only overshadowed by his role as a 6th man instead of a starter on that LSU squad. If I am at all nervous, its that the jump in his stats from 20-21 to 21-22 were pretty substantial and that any regression would put him out of the lottery in terms of talent. Without that shooting touch, he is more Renaldo Balkman than not. And I think that is the gamble. His shooting form isn't pure but it seems effective. https://www.indycornrows.com/2022/5/29/23141187/2022-nba-draft-analysis-tari-eason This is a pretty decent good/bad/ugly write up of his skill sets. I thing I like about him is his ability to effect the game without the ball in his hands. I think that's important to this Knicks team that has too many players that need the ball. I draft him on his defense alone. Any progress on the offense pushes him into a potential elite category. Worst case he is a defensive stopper. Best case you have a Kawhi Leonard type two way player. The risk profile I want to take is betting on big strong athletic types and assuming we can develop them into two-way players and not finesse/skill players and hoping their slow foot speed/low motor are not a hindrance. You know I gonna spin wit it
