But is there a guy honestly better suited to give us what we need than Williams?

He gives you the long point guard we’ve craved for years. At 6-6 w 7-2 wingspan he fits in with thibs defensive scheme. Excellent 3 point shooter. Only true 50-40-80 player in draft. Would fit perfectly with IQ as two one guards who can eventually play together. Has full body and dribble control with both hands. Good rebounder great form on shot. Not explosive but slithery and super long. I’ve been high on taro Eason as a big athletic 3 but the more I look the more I can see wings falling to rd 2. This would be a prescient dazzling choice. It’s a winning choice. He’s everything we wanted frank to be but he already is. I hope the Knicks really look at him. No trade downs. Use your draft leverage

Just posted this in the college basketball thread about Williams....

Just started watching film on Williams and he really pops on the screen. Can score at all three levels, understands spacing and how to get to his scoring spots, good handle, has good vision and plays at his pace. What he lacks in athleticism he makes up for in strength. Put a guard on his and he will muscle his way to the basket. He is a really good prospect and I would strongly consider him at 11. He is also a ball mover which is what we need an injection of on this team. Worry about him defensively, though, as he doesn't have great lateral quickness but he is a really good prospect

Scott perry likes the long point guard but he never picked one who can shoot the ball. This guy can and he has a nasty floater with soft touch in the lane that will be hard to guard.
