NO hope nor answers.
Knicks faithful ? arguments for hope ? THIBS in 2022/3 and coming back fall 2022 for a bad job.
NBA players, commentators & experts detail NYK being NBA irrevelant again. Love our NYK Logo but
it's hard being Knick fan.

Future is bleak, we can't even crack picks 1-6 in ANY NBA Draft Lotto. THIS is ROUGH Waters being Knickerbocker Disciple.
Every season continues the saga of Knickerbockers dissappointment.

Myself and two other Knick fans/dudes at my employer company has the Holy scripture.
It goes as when one of the 3 of us passes away on Earth, Our NY Knickerbockers will finally get GOOD again!

Rose had bone spurs removed. Comes back strong!

Nerlens had a season to recover from multiple ailments.

Taj is getting better every year. May lead the league in 3’s made.

Randle comes out of his funk. Baby and and too many changes for him to deal with last season.

EF was actually playing better defense towards the end of the year.

IQ and Obi keep improving.

Grimes has a breakout year.

RJ figures out how to finish at the rim consistently. And hit free throws.

Jericho Sims becomes the first player to bang his head on the shot clock.

Kemba moves to backup PG. On another team.

We trade the farm for Lillard and win 10 games.

We won 37 games without a functional point guard on the roster so there’s that

Like your propositions and perspective of knicks "If"s

Unsure the defensive minded Nerlens is going to be anymore non-durable as Mitchel Robinson, SO Knicks may need to plug that
soon, since Mitch is expected not to be back. Nerlens can't stay on the floor but when healthy I like his effort, wit & grit like Clyde says.

Some of will be true!!!! If Norlens and rose come back strong they have good trade value. In fact, they might play a role come draft night if we open up cap space. Not saying we do big dramatic things but in the name of flexibility. That gets you closer to changing the roster!

We forgot how good Nerlens was when he was healthy! He was a big reason for our 41 game win season and when he got hurt we missed him in ATL series. But we can’t count on him being a steady 82 game starter given his last few years of missing games. Not practical.

How good would PHX be with a reasonably healthy PG3 and Drose to manage minutes with?

The three major issues I saw in last year's team are 1) Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier's defense bringing down the entire starting unit. Fournier showed improvement as the year went on. Not sure if removing Walker and replacing with Burks is enough. How they fill the PG role will be important. 2) Derrick Rose's (and Alec Burk's) value to the second unit if only the Coach's trust in the second unit needs to be considered. The minutes the first unit played were exceptional in my opinion and may have detracted from the team's overall performance. In 20/21, the 2nd unit was the team MVP - and that seemed to be the same in 21-22 (looking at Overall Plus Minus as the indicator. 3) All of this intended to say that the first unit doesn't really work right now. PG is open. SG has defensive holes. SF and PF are in a battle for ball control and C is to become an unrestricted free agent.

The reason for hope is that we know the starting lineup doesn't work and that the second unit does. To me, that is a personnel problem, not a coaching problem. I hope to see modifications to the starting unit that will eliminate all of the 3 problems above. That's not a clear path to victory, but a reason to hope we will improve versus last year. For me, hope lies in change.

You know I gonna spin wit it

I think next season should be a build it year. Let RJ continue his role as the man like he did in the second half of the season. Let IQ and Obi start and get 30 mpg and see what happens. Give Reddish, Deuce and the 11th pick minutes too. If these kids play well and it results in playoffs, that's great! If they do not, at least we'll find out what we have in them. Trying to make the play-in with Randle, Fournier, Rose and Burks playing the bulk of the minutes is just dumb.
