Energy, defense, size---he's got it and with the likelihood of Taj hanging them up and the possibility of losing mitch and yes, the long shot of a randle trade, what he brings seems to be ready made for what we might need next year.
On the flip side, we have a glut of 2 and 3's , positions already seemed destined for a few changes and several rumored draftee wing'ish candidates ( davis , mathurin, daniels, maybe AJ griffin sliding) that would only complicate that math.
It's not a bad problem to have as we seem to have adults in the draft room these days and we end up with a good player in either scenario. But I think Sochan , if we stay at 11 and he's not a spur, becomes NY's new power hustler... and between him, obi and sims we have some bouncy young pieces to build on.
You could add that down the road sochan may make obi a little more likely to be dealt and if we are able to swing a PG in the deal, that's not a bad end game either.
