Suns/Memphis are #3/#4 by the way...

Defense still wins championships

Big line ups, small line up, centers who can score, forward who can sing... it doesnt matter. Gotta play defense.

Its one thing I think this FO gets when you look at the young guys they are bringing in

the great whitey herzog used to say speed and defense never go in slumps.

while he was talking about baseball, there's a lot of truth to that in basketball too. can add length to that

Absolutely...It also helps to have an elite/hall of fame bucket getter too. GS and the Celts have more elite level offensive options than their opponents which will probably make the difference in who advances to the finals and ultimately win the chip.

So far .. Jason Kidd has been the BEST Defensive head-coach in the postseason games !!!
How did the Mavs get to the level of WCF ??? HOW?

Defense wins games no doubt about it. Last year the Knicks were a much better defensive team. This year the addition of Kemba and Fournier didn’t help matters. Rose is in last leg of career. Randle well he didn’t put much effort into this past season. Coach was his worst enemy with poor roster moves. But yea need defense and offense too. Better the plus minus the better the record.

Play a not so good heading in to the playoffs Utah and then realize NOLA took PHX to to 6 and in retrospect was starting to sputter. MAVs opponents might have something to do with it also?
Kidd is doing a good job.
Warriors stay healthy they killing it.
