They get to make a Coming Home video for Kemba and another PG backup.
To me, Mitch is better than Plumlee. Or should say, Mitch has a higher ceiling than Plumlee.
Rozier vs Rose seems redundant. If we didn't have IQ in training, I would understand.
Outside of adding a bonifide star on CP3 level or close, whats the point? Might as well hope for Rose health (since he missed most of the season) and IQ's development. If we cant get a great player at PG, I rather get an up and coming player or continue to develop IQ. We not winning a chip next season with OR without CP3. Might as well continue the development train. Every time we bring in so called veteran (who's not a Thibs player), their impact is not as high as we thought (Rose is an exception due to his relationship and willingness to play hard for Thibs).
Just seems like a neutral move just to say the FO did something. After what they did with adding Kemba and EF, I'm not sure about any deals they make outside of a bonifide star. Where they have shined to me, is during draft time and avoiding lopsided deals not in our favor. I believe they have done great in that area. As much as we don't like Kemba and EF, both are or with EF can be traded in the near future. EF has some value around the league, even at his current contract. He can score 30-40 on any given night, on the right team and in the right system. That's a threat most teams would love to have.
I don't mind trading Deuce. I believe we can find another hard nosed PG in the second league, who's known for just defense. So Deuce (as much as I love him) is expendable for the right trade. I don't agree that this is the right trade. I have a lot of faith in Rose / IQ running Thibs system. What are we doing at Center is my question. I rather have Mitch over Plumlee (at a reasonable price), but that's just me.
