Let the young guys play. Let the vets play vs. bench guys. They will look better and it can only help their value. Thibs can still play his guys and when Burks is having one of his sniper games you ride him etc...

Cant ask them to lose but its fair to look at a couple guys in different roles.

We are 5 games back on the loss side to the coveted 10th seed. Its stupid to think its a reasonable goal, especially with the schedule we have. But we are only a few games ahead of SAS,SAC,IND... if we fall behind those guys its a difference of picking 5th vs. 8th which is significant. If we win games fine, it means guys are playing well and we need that also.

I don’t think the two are ever going to click on a consistent basis.

Coach Thibs Starter 5 lineup last-season and this season has the same incompetent problem as ex-Knicks coach Fizdale had with the starter unit .. No chemistry, no ball movement, no one on the same-page, no coach plan, and no coach plays on offense/defense. The Knicks were lucky last season to have assistant coach Woodson on the bench, plus a healthy D.Rose leadership playing all 12 minutes of the 4th quarter for a Knicks win in the regular season. Recall in 2012 Knicks season Woodson had a healthy Jason Kidd leadership play the entire 4th quarter all season for a successful winning season.

Head coach Thibs have a BAD habit of giving 35 to 40 minutes of playing time each game for two seasons to Randle, RJ Barrett, and Burks. Coach Thibs three most valuable players who poor defense lose more games than win, because they are never on the same-page together, plus have no chemistry together on both sides of the court. The only thing they have in common is keep feeding the HOT player.
Thibs taking Kemba out of the rotation early in the season DIVIDED the players in the locker-room !!!
Either the Knicks get assistant coach Woodson back, or FIRE coach Thibs asap !!!

Before the Bulls hired Thibs, the Bulls had a 2nd round playoff roster having a healthy young Noah, and a healthy all-star Deng, and Kurt Thomas leadership in the frontcourt for their new all-star rookie D.Rose, and new head coach Thibs.
Thibs talent is best as an NBA assistant coach !!!

We get more from developing the youth than tanking. Tanking doesn’t guarantee anything but leave us frustrated come draft time. Playing deuce McBride, cam and sims guarantees player development. We already know about EF and Burks. I think we can still lose with them two sitting next to Noel. Let Mitch earn that money and sims backing up Mitch. Cam needs a new contract, how much is he worth. Deuce needs to play so next year he won’t have a rough start, if he’s part of thibs rotation.

We can tank until we all turn blue and still get the 9th pick. That’s just a franchise that’s cursed and continues to have bad luck. I’m tired of playing the tank game. It doesn’t work with the new format.

What’s the point of starting Burks? Wouldn’t it make sense to go to the yoots first, then stick Burks wherever a young guy might be inconsistent on any given night?

And maybe that means Burks doesn’t play but whatever… he’s good but he’s not the future and he didn’t do enough in the present for us to shift the primary focus to development

So there you go, that’s the rotation, you have to play EF because what are we gonna get in a trade if we don’t?

I think it is such bull**** we gave him that contract but were so desperate to rid ourselves of THJ. I know different regimes but Christ man that was not ancient history. But as it relates to our poorly constructed roster, I think the single best thing for our club would be if we could get EF a very hollow 18ppg on 40 from 3 we could talk someone into acquiring Mr Charmin Ultra instead of stapling a first rounder to him and trading him for an expiring contract
