With the losses the last couple of weeks the Knicks would need a strong campaign the last 23 games just to make the play-in tournament.

Below are the standings:

12. Lakers - 27/31
11. Wizards - 26/31
10. Trailblazers - 25/34
9. Knicks - 25/34 (23 games left)
8. Pelicans - 23/35
7. Spurs - 23/36
6. Kings - 22/38
5. Pacers - 20/40
4. Thunder - 18/40
3. Rockets - 15/42
2. Pistons - 13/45
1. Magic - 13/47

If we tank now we have a great chance of moving up to 6th worst record.
With changes on Lottery Odds to discourage tanking, we would have a great shot at a top 3 pick.
There is a step dropoff in talent after the 3rd pick.
This would do more good long-term for the team than any symbolic playin tournament that leads to getting embarrassed by 1st seed if we gt lucky and advance.

Yep, whatever it is we are doing it seems to be helping our cause. I just wish we could play the youths more

I think my concern is we win meaningless games when Derrick Rose gets back and miss out on maximizing our opportunity to add a top talent in the draft.

Be careful what u ask for. The vets are doing a great job at losing. I don’t think they need any help. And if deuce is the missing piece, maybe it’s best he stays in the g league. Chap 3 of the FO tank report.

As others have said, we have been tanking since December. Only Knicks would tank in an average draft. We should have tanked last year.

Let the Sacramentos and Detroits of this current world tank. How'd that process work in Philly? You only had to wait 8-10 years to get prime Embiid playing like a psycho.

Yeah, that's worth rooting to lose.

I think I am more into giving our young players a lot of playing time and developing them while we do it. If we end up winning with the kids I can live with that. Tanking would just be to keep playing the vets.

We need to play miles McBride… the guy is lighting up the g league… had a nice game early on, 23 games left let’s see what we have.

I really want to see a majority of minutes go to.
