Same with Grimes he is basically doing what he learned in college. Next year there will be a huge drop off because the Knicks will be teaching them and are in their ears. If the aknicks drafted Halliburton I guarantee he wouldn’t have developed the way he has. The lack of opportunity due to coaches decisions is one of the biggest deterrent to player growth.
this. overall terrible player development. Grimes could be great. Quick has been stuck. Obi should be better by now, and Sims should be incredible right now with his hops - he should be a defensive monster. Why play the old man Taj when he is not the future? Taj Gibson should be teaching the young guys in practice and coaching them on the floor during games when the young guys are getting burn. Development is the only way.
McBride should be getting 10 minutes per game.
Why does Thibs play players out of position? Quick and Burks? Quick should be benched and Burks should be played at SG exclusively. Repeating the same losing strategy over and over again and expecting different results is insanity.
