I could live with his questionable shot selection or his lack of shooting consistency. With good coaching and guidance under Lenny and Isiah, it will come. He's a good player with great ball handling, passing, dribbling, and shooting.
But I totally dislike the fact that he is a stick, too weak to guard any opponent with bulk. He's a defensive liability unless he plays a PG position which won't happen as long as Marbury is here.
He should be living in a gym pumping iron. How long has he been in the league? This is his 5th season for christ sake. He's gotta get his skinny ass in gear and work.

I am with you dog. These guys are paid boatloads of cash, where the hell is their personal trainer? Creatine anyone? Baseball players are better physical specimans than a lot of these guys and we all know that half of them smoke cigarettes and couldn't run a mile without gasping. Come on Jamal, buy a home gym or get with a trainer. For the millions you are paid you would think it was a given.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

as a shooter, you can't just bulk up. it messes up your shot. ...now you might say, his shot from outside isn't great anyway, and i might agree with you... so...

Not true. If you work out and practice shooting right afterwards or before. Jordan worked out before games. Same with a lot of other players. If that were the case they would never be great players.

I mean think of Kobe when he came into the league as a high-school graduate. He probably was as thin as Craw is now. That skinny Kobe is gone and we now see a tough-as-nail topflight athlete with an all-around game (he could be better than Michael in terms of individual skills). Granted this is his 9th season, but he probably has gained over 30-40 pounds of pure muscle. Do you think he would be as dominating as he is now had he not bulked up? I doubt it. I don't see why Craw won't be able to bulk up like that. It's a matter of will, hardwork, and persevearance. Isiah should be on Craw's back on this issue, like he was with lampe until he sent his skinny ass over to the Arizona desert.

You are right. Just pumping iron does screw with your jump shot but the truth he is will have to make that adjustment sooner or later. I hope he takes lessons from our resident Hercules who plays PG for the Knicks. I think he will start getting bigger soon.

Some guys don't want tp lose their quickness or leaping ability by bulking up...a perfect example is Rip Hamilton. He has flat out said he didn't want to get bigger.
Crawford has said though that next offseason he does want to work on getting bigger.

You can have big muscles and still be a good - great shooter. Examples are Allan Houston, Kobe Bryant (Yes, I consider him to be rather pumped), Karl Malone. If you are a talented shooter, you are going to work your way around having the big muscles. Good shooters make adjustments to the slightest changes. Other examples are Kurt Thomas and heck, even Tim Duncan is a good shooter. Jamal is a very talented NBA player. Yes, he needs to bulk up so he can improve his defense, but using the old "But it's gonna hurt my shooting excuse" is not an excuse. It shouldn't even be thought of.
BTW, if anyone rips at me for "Using Allan in the same sentence as Kobe and Karl," then you are an idiot.

You can't seriously think that Allan Houston is as good a player as Kobe!?!?!
