We’re 27 th in the league and we have the leader in fg% ( mitch)
No more drafting 6-4 and under players with low% fg.
I’d focus on size at EVERY position and we want players who make shots at higher clips.

Agreed but just to note Brunson is a career 50% shooter which is rare from the PG position. Having him and Mitch in the same lineup would really be a good fix in that area.

I’m really trying to make a lineup of Brunson, Grimes, Barrett, Randle and Mitch happen next year with Rose, IQ, Reddish, Toppin and a stretch 5 off the bench. If Fournier is still here, I’d like to work him off the bench with Rose. Not that I think this roster can make noise, but the starting 5 gets some of that grit back that it’s missing and Brunson can improve the offense from an efficiency standpoint. The bench can get back to being the change of pace group that remains one of the most talented in the league. This would be far from a finished product but it gives a chance to re-assess what this team really is. Continue to push Randle to play faster and think quicker. Much better option than trying to dump him. Rebuild him.

I’d take jalen Brunson but he’s going to get signed for money we don’t have. I’m guessing 22-25 mm.

How are we getting Brunson when we are over the cap bogged down by a roster full of terrible mid level contracts.

We don’t have the money,

I’d rather take a flyer on Ty Ty Washington.

This has been discussed in depth. This summer Kemba, Burks, Noel and rose are all expiring contracts. There will be no issue moving them as expirings and creating 20+ mil in space. Knicks have millions of 2nd rounders to attach as needed. You can create big cap space with only Randle and Fournier being large contracts on payroll. My guess is Kemba, Burks and Noel are all moved in the summer.

And they might go to the Dallas Knicks in a S&T with their own first rounder attached, and perhaps some second rounders as well.

More size at SF. That was one of the reasons I liked the trade for Reddish. I still can't believe they didn't ship out one of the vets to create rotation room

Ok, but what if they have a low FG%, but have decent eFG and TS percentages?

Precisely. This is why acquiring Reddish was so intriguing. He is a lottery type talent with SIZE

Most keep talking about Grimes in the starting lineup I don't agree with this. While he is a very skilled player he is way to small for the starting lineup.

Off the bench Grimes is a beast because size does not matter as much. In the starting lineup his size is somewhat of a handicap.

I'd put high priority moving forward on upgrading and benching both Kemba Walker and especially Evan Fournier; they've single handedly ruined and destroyed NYs Defensive Identity from last year.

It's so frustrating to watch every game while knowing they're the two culprits of ruining the NBAs once #1 D.

I’d put high priority going forward on size and fg%
