Kennedy Chandler. Good news is we’re back to being a 30 win team again so we won’t have to trade up!

I'm jk.

I'll root for the 8th seed play in until mathematically eliminated.

Just frustrated after these 3 consecutive loses and 1-6 previous 7.

We went from in the thick of things to pretty much completely out of it.

The time to pull the trigger on a roster upgrade trade was two weeks ago. That NY didn't pull the trigger makes me think they are waiting for February 3rd and Randle's contract to become available.

As far as tanking, we have the wrong coach and our record is too good to get a high pick. So let's keep our fingers crossed that we get in the play in.

I would not mind a tank and us keeping the same roster for the remainder of the season, barring an opportunity to trade for a legit superstar. We are not winning the chip this season, it is plain obvious, and the rest is semantics: make the playoffs, miss the playoffs, who cares. I actually think that having the playoff pressure off will let Randle reset mentally, go back to fundamentals and get his mojo back. And getting a hopefully good player in the lottery might be a nice bonus.

If we continue to lose 75% of our games, management is going to pull the plug on the season after the Allstar game. This team is lost without Rose. Until he comes back, I think we will continue to lose 3 out of 4 games. At some point, you have to face reality and start playing the young guys.

On basketball reference Knicks have a 2/3 chance at a 9-12 pick. With the flattened odds, what's the point of trying to tank our way to a 6 or 7 seed and having a 2% better chance at a top 3 pick? It's play in or bust.

This is where I am. Let’s hope we miss the play offs, and then on the lottery, we move up for a change and we get a real talent that can make an impact, hopefully a PG.

And then next year, things come together, Randle gets over whatever is ailing him (?) and we start winning again.

It might be the only way to get Randle right - 5 straight DNPs. Maybe 10.

I knew we were done when we didn't win enough games during that light stretch

I don’t want to tank. No reason too. The FO can trade some of he vets and the strength of schedule is a great learning experience for the kids. They will lose games but hopefully they learn how to win games during the stretch too.

As any other team this would be a legit strategy. However, the Knicks don't ever move up in the lottery. With our trash luck to match our trash skill level we are always picking after the difference makers are gone. We have never move up in the draft lottery in my whole lifetime.

I would not consider Hali a difference maker. Good player but not the level I am talking about. I am talking about mostly can't fail talent wise picks. That is why I saw a stat that MVPs are overwhelmingly drafted in the top 3 picks of their draft. You can find difference makers after the 3rd pick but it is mostly a crapshoot. If there was an exact science those teams would find them every draft.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to make a leap forward. Especially after last year's Pyrrhic run to the playoffs.

There is no such thing as trash luck. Lottery outcomes have been well within statistical probabilities.

Don't you think they're have been enough shots taken at Cleanthony?
