I should've never argued with Knicks fans and defended the likes of R.J. Barrett/Julius Randle/Tom Thibs.

We're awful.

And just when I thought we were going to go on a serious run; we've now lost 3 consecutive games (two + down by 24 @ home heading into the 4th Q vs. a trash Pelicans team).

I'll still watch every single game but I won't be posting as much anymore and wasting my energy on this team and no I won't be bumping up my stupid Eastern Conference Standings thread any time soon (because the best we can do is play for a play in).

I apologize to UK for my homerism this year + my idiotic 60 wins thread. After 20 years of Knicks darkness I wanted to use this team as an excuse to become fired up about NYC basketball again; but I was wrong.

If NYK wants to save NYKMENTALITY they better come from behind down 24 in the 4th Q and win because if not? I'll join team tank and let the MSG boo birds sing.

Oh no! They killed NYKMentality Buck up. There's still the Rokas thread. And it looks we're gonna be in the lottery, so there's the draft thread to look forward to.

Either we’re winning 60 games or we’re the worst team in the nba which is it?

Been saying it all along this is a 41-45 win roster

Turned the game off in the 2nd quarter after a string of bad shot attempts and misses. This team is not worth my full attention. I still have the image in my head of Randle smiling as he entered the game in the 2nd with Knicks down 10. Wack!

I understand what your feeling. If you think fans like me are a little negative it is because we have been here before. The Knicks are cursed. Nothing good happens to us for an extended period of time. We have a good year then its back to being trash for another 5 years. The good year ends up being worse for us because we overpay marginal players. Optimistic people see our same record as last season. What I see is even if our record is the same our losses are way worse. We literally barely ever have blowout games in our favor. That is a bad sign for a team that is meant to be good.

We will lose to ANY team on any given night. The worst team in the NBA that is also ravaged by COVID and filled with G League players will still have a good chance at beating us. This is another bad sign. Every NBA team shooting better than their season average from 3pt line is a bad sign. Every scrub on every team gets their career highs on us. Another bad sign. So while our record is the same there are WAY too many red flags for me to think we will turnout the same as last year. We also have the second hardest rest of schedule in the NBA. Our record vs good teams is not pretty. I used to get super hurt by the Knicks. Now every year when it's obvious we stink I eventually stop watching games live and only check out games/halves/quarters in which our young players do well. That hurt your feeling now. I am not. I learned long ago not to open your heart to the Knicks because they will let you down 9/10 times.

I've been very relaxed all season- whatever happens, happens. If we suck, we have our pick (lottery is still by far the best chance of adding game changing talent). If we trade, great, new players to get to watch. If we stick and make the playoffs, good for player development and value boosting.

Definitely don't enjoy watching the team as much as I did last year though, and that's nothing to do with the record

Nooooooo. Don’t go. This forum is filled with pessimistic fans. We need and look forward to your optimism. It helps swing the pendulum. I’ve been the minority here since I joined because of my optimism. Now you took it to a new level but it’s needed brother. Don’t let these negative fans get to you.

Everything is fixable.

Nope…Randle didn’t replace payton and bullock with Kemba and Fournier….Randle didn’t spend the off season cap on players that have zero impact on this team. If you want to boo someone, boo Leon rose if that makes people feel better. Boo this roster which is broken. Thibs, Randle, RJ, Rose and Taj was the core last year. The players around them changed.

We should boo the fans that placed enormous expectations on randle because of his paycheck. Randle hasn’t changed. He’s just not emotionally strong to put NY on his back like melo or Patrick Ewing, reed and Clyde did for years. He’s not the alpha leader that will carry us. He’s a system player who played well in thibs system last year. That’s it.

Great response. Out of all the posters I remember u being one of the few level headed fans in here. Sometimes u go left on me which is fine, but always come back. 😂

I remember one point we was the only few optimistic fans in here. Then NYK came and took over. Keep that MLK quote on your wall. A man is measure not in moments of comfort but during difficult times like now. Stay up beat. It’s just a game. And people in charge can make mistakes.

Like Nolad said, the door stays open. You still a fan that bleeds the same orange and blue like all of us.

Thats my ballast for not going pessimistic. I was despondent in the Isiah reign of terror as I did not have any confidence in the decision making process. Im not happy with some aspects of this team but I do think we have a competent FO and last year was not a curse. It was a gift. If one can’t appreciate it thats on them if they so choose. I don’t see us going on a great run but who really sees it anyway? We looked good a week ago and then “Boom, three straight losses”.

I've been happy that you've been an overly optimistic poster here to counterbalance some of the constant negativity. That being said (and I'll apologize in advance) I really can't relate to this post. For me, the Knicks and this board represent entertainment and enjoyment so there would be no time that I would consider quitting. While I may decide to take a few breaks now and again when things are not fun, how the Knicks play will ultimately not effect who I am, how I choose to act or how I go about my family, business and leisure. Personally I think at times you may be a bit hyperbolic and histrionic for my posting tastes and I suspect you can sway overly positive or negative depending on which way the wind is blowing with the team - but to each his own.

Why is when a player plays like trash and fan criticizes them, it's call negativity.

How exactly would you respond to Randle's play last night, "HE HAD A TOUGH GAME" you'll get em next time tiger.

We had success last year because it was a wierd season. 2/3 of the teams were gassed because of no break after Lebron's stupid bubble tournament. No fans in the stands in away games (turns out that also benefitted us in home games as well since Randle is being exposed as a sensitive snowflake)

And then we went on our big run second half of the season once we traded for Derrick Rose who lit it up playing for a contract.

Elf sucks, Bullock is an ok defender and average shooter.

If NYK wants to save NYKMENTALITY they better come from behind down 24 in the 4th Q and win because if not? I'll join team tank and let the MSG boo birds sing.

Are you feeling insecure about my comment? Constant negativity/complaining about the Front Office / Cam Reddish trade because he was injured and using a misleading statement to support it. Constant negativity is waiting for the Knicks to lose a few games to post "blow it up threads" or polls on what is wrong with the Knicks. Constant negativity is stating the same agenda driven post over and over again about the same player's shortcomings. Constant negaitvity is attacking a player personally rather than how they play. These are just my opinions....to each his own.

The Knicks as a team played poorly last night with the possible excpetion of Mitch Rob. They deserve criticism. Likewise when the team or player is playing well dont they deserve praise? Constant negativity is only focusing on the negative without acknowledging the positive.

I QUIT.
