IQ needs more PG minutes. McBride could use some scrap minutes too.
What is there really to complain about? I mean, besides the obvious?
I agree but the pace we play at is ridiculous, and the only way that can change is the person bringing the ball up court.
2 fast break points yesterday and we were down double digits most of the game, something has to give because we won't even win half of our remaining games playing like this
Charlotte game aside, why do you care about pace? Pace does not neccesarily mean wins. Pace should be dictated by the type of roster you have and what your team strengths are.
The Knicks do not have any wing players or good enough passers to have a quick pace, so why would they strive for that?
They are a defensive team that also should out rebound their opponents.
Did anyone care that the 90s Knicks were not doing MDA style shot clock management? Nope, quite the obvious for obvious reasons: it didn't play to their strengths.
The knicks grab a rebound, walk the ball up court, wait until the opposing teams defense is set, then go into their play, which is why we have the 4th worst FG% in the entire NBA, 3rd slowest pace, 2nd worst in assist, dead last in fast break points.
we have 7 rotational players shooting 41% or below from the floor, why because we get no easy baskets
Had it not been for Mitch's Dunks we would be the worst shooting team in the NBA, on the flip side because he's always station in the paint, we take too many mid range jumper, contested shots, off balance floaters.
