I'm just curious - We all love Grimes which is great. However, who do you think is having a better rookie season? Who has a higher ceiling? Who would you want on your team if you had to pick?

I am happy with Grimes.
His fundamentals on defense are Rock Solid.
His shooting form has been compared to Allen Houston...

Once Grimes gets an offseason of conditioning and has a few more years to fill in, he is gonna be trouble for opposing teams.
Something about Grimes reminds me of Brandon Roy, although that is a very optimistically high comparison..
I think Grimes is going to surprise a lot of fans in just a couple of years

I was initially upset that we could have used that pick we traded away on Cam Thomas, but that pick turned into Cam Reddish, so I am not too bothered it by it anymore.

Brandon Roy would be amazing. Allan Houston would be great as well. I predict somewhere between Houston and Hubert Davis.

Grimes is a SG, though with his build he can play a little of the 3 (and perhaps more as he adds to his frame.)
Cam is a Wing who's best spot is probably the 3, but the experts here can chime in. (He can probably play some 4 at times as well.)

I don't think these guys bring up and Either Or type argument.
We need to find more minutes for Grimes and Cam as well. But a trade needs to happen. By Kemba and Burks. And probably some more.

That said, I LOVE Grimes and really like Cam.

Grimes looks like Damyean Dotson with a higher percentage

Different styles of player. Grimes is a better fit for Thibs. Thomas is a scorer.

Grimes and Dot shouldn't be in the same sentence, completely different talent levels.

I like Grimes and he was the right pick but he’s just a hard working undersized 2 guard who shoots around 41% overall and 37% from 3. Kinda like Dot

For me there is a world of difference between the 2 players. Dot could never get consistent with his shot and his overall defense was poor.

Small sample size from Grimes but he is shooting 55% eFG while Dot lingered around 50% for his career, but difference for a wing player. And Grimes got elite defensive skills and a ton more upside in passing and dribbling.

Fringe player on roster versus starter potential.

I see a slightly shorter but more athletic and skilled version of Danny Green in Grimes.

Dude is going to be better than the prototypical 3&D guy for a VERY long time with the Knicks.

Super excited about this kid.

#12 Josh Primo 14MPG, 47% eFG, 34% 3pt
#13 Chris Duarte 29MPG 52% eFG, 35% 3pt starting
#14 Moses Moody 7MPG, 37% eFG, 12% 3pt
#17 Trey Murphy 13MPG, 45% eFG, 34% 3pt
#21 Keon Johnson 9MPG, 46% eFG, 34% 3pt
#24 Josh Christopher 16MPG, 52% eFG, 33% 3pt
#25 Grimes 15MPG, 58% eFG, 39% 3pt
#26 Cam Thomas 17MPG, 48% eFG, 23% 3pt

The fact Thibbs is playing means he must be showing out in practice. Grimes has the potential to be poor man’s Klay Thompson. Solid defense, quick release on shot, solid efficiency. By next season Grimes should starting over Fournier.
Trust the Process

Perfect comparison IMHO.

Grimes is little bit shorter than Klay but I think has better lateral quickness and athletic ability. Klay obviously more talented.

And yes he should be competing for starting position next year.

I take the humble hard worker every time over the guys that need to be there man and are fairly one dimensional.

Cam will be a good player and is in the right situation, but Grimes has a chance to stick here for a decade as a solid wing and starter down the road. This was a great pick.

I think his floor is Danny Green.

What's all the hype about Cam Thomas?

Cam Thomas:
17.3 minutes.
7.5 points.
2.4 rebounds.
1.0 assists.
0.5 steals.
FG .436%.
3PT .239%.
Player Efficiency Rating of 10.7.

He doesn't look like anything to write home about yet alone good enough to question the Grimes selection.

Grimes or Cam Thomas??
