We went from a very mediocre team to a solid one with two legit stars Randle + rose) BUT like 2014 it’s turning into fools good. And I personally bought into the gold( how could a fan not) management bought it and spent Huge money to keep it together but I think as we are going to see the secondary phase of the Rose acquisition will be a nightmare and we’re all Blythe in chapter 2. Rose and Walker — both great. — will help the team— but they’re not physically able to do it consistently anymore. Tgis breakdown at 1 has caused disruption throughout lineup
No clear path to the future.
Unfortunately True. And this is an eternally nagging Knick problem, maybe an NBA problem. Hard to name a team that breaks the stranglehold on the upper echelon of NBA playoff success that a handful of organizations hold.
I have a very hard time seeing anything more than thrashing in mediocrity for a while given this FO and coach. A very eclectic maze of conflicting needs and dependencies.
The D'Antoni years were as close as we got to actually breaking out, unforgivable reset.
There was no clear path preceding our rise last year. Imagine at seasons start we said “team will early double its win total, finish 4th, and Elf will start the vast majority of the games”. That would be laughable. This year the pundits said:” East is better, knicks in the 41-47 win range and mid pack with others” and we cried “bull****”.
No clear path is not a bad thing. It just means **** is not definable and maybe enjoy bits and pieces. Boston game Thursday was awesome! Not everthing is a path to something else.
Just cuz we cant see it dont mean it can’t happen?
