Wayne “Seldon” plays. I reckon he goes.
Can you really go wrong with a guy named “Denzel Valintine”?
Labeyrie gone? I read the new Knick French quota is down to one.
EF will be here a while I suppose. Or……….EF is on the block and we are French Free!

If we keep Valentine there are a lot of + and - as I've watched him play on several teams...

Pros
He can shoot wide open three decently
He makes the extra pass and is good for ball movement
He plays defense, hustles and has good instincts

Cons
He doesn't seem to shoot well under pressure
He sometimes takes terrible shots
His ceiling seems pretty low as a reserve
Remember he got busted up in the Drew league awhile ago

I'm hoping they have something more significant up their collective sleeves.
Hell, I'll take Tre Burke back at this point.

read unlikely Valentine sticks as his deal is guaranteed on the 10th. He is 27 and not much upside. If he is a body, I get it.
Could be Mills and Aller are setting the table for something. Is it big? Season changing? Doubt it. I imagine we are bottom feeding to help other deals.
Not a damn thing wrong with that if we profit.

WE got the rights to a 37 year old playing in Australia and a kid playing in China for Louis. Not much to get hpyed on.

Trey poses the same issues as Kyrie with his anti vax stance. Not that it would matter with the teams home record

Arcidiacono is a good player to have at the end of your bench and as an emergency rotation player. Loved him at Villanova! He's kind of like a poor man's McConnell.

It's a tough business, but impact players are far and few. You guys will see it's worth it when they sign Theo.

I wonder what the motivation was to get in on the Rondo deal. Seems like we did a favor to the Lakers. We have already cut Valentine so what did we gain?

I do think the trade landscape is in part about relationships. Brock Aller literally picks up the phone and makes calls to Cavs and Lakers. Even at the very least, good will and connections are established for later down the line.

The Knicks saved the Lakers $ while also grabbing themselves some. Even if you only pick up $500K, that's still a trainer or 2's salary plus some extra if it is indeed put back into the budget. I think the Knicks netted ~$1M. The Lakers saved around $4M?

There was perhaps 1 article I read a while back where Brock Aller talked about the value of the Euro stash picks that teams KNOW will never pan out and make it to the NBA: They become trade lubricants. The Knicks really don't give up anything by trading up the rights to Labeyrie while taking on 2 more but still netted something; those draft rights are the assets that allow the Knicks to get involved and Brock LOVES them.
