I'm guessing 12pts (5 dunks and a layup), 7 rebounds, 4 fouls and one ESPN worthy highlight.

Question is how does the opened up offense look and help the others perform?

I'm confident Obi gets the start and/or plays 25-30+ minutes during Randle's absence.

20 minutes.
20 minutes.
21 minutes.
21 minutes.
23 minutes.
23 minutes.
23 minutes.
26 minutes.
28 minutes.

Dating back to last year Julius Randle has only missed 1 game. Tonight will be his 2nd.

But yet as Randle's backup PF coach Thibs has stoll given Obi Toppin 20+ minutes of play 9x and also 16 games of 15-19 minutes (since being drafted last year. 25 games of at least 15+ minutes.

So I'm pretty sure a 2x coach of the year will play Obi Toppin a lot of minutes @ PF while his star starting PF is out.

Yup. Me too.

It's hard to come off the bench cold and immediately get hot from shooting beyond the arch.

So therefore I won't focus too much on Obi's 3PT% (as of right now).

But during his next 3 games? He'll have a chance to show his coach and us fans what type of potential he has from long range.

If his shot shows flashes from the outside?

@ 6'9/220 lbs?

He could then begin to earn playing time @ SF too due to extreme and freakish athleticism on the wings (with a shot to boot).

I'm really pulling for Obi to shoot lights out because he has all the makings of a triple threat @ PF/C and SF (And just a long range jump shot away).

But yet coach Thibs critics will tell you how coach Thibs "doesn't play his youth".

This will be fun to watch. At least to see a different look and some more uptempo play. We will learn a lot about Obi tonight.

He needs to stay on the floor, we don't have enough frontcourt players tonight.
