I am guessing your right. I would be crazy and start McBride and see what the young man can do on defense vs Shai. Trial by Fire baby!

Hindsight is always 20/20 but it's nuts how Kevin Knox went #9 overall and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes two picks later @ 11th overall.

His 4th year and i didn't know anything about him while heading into the draft. But he looks like a monster. This season 22.7 points, 5.2 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game.

As a 6'6 PG too? I'm looking @ lower 3PT numbers but other than 3s he looks like a freak talent.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander vs Knicks last year and the year before = 2 games with a combined 43 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assist, 2 steals and 1 block off of 9/14 from the field (only 3 turnovers) and 4/6 from 3.

All-Time dating back to his Rookie season this kid is freaking 4-0 against NY.

Can't wait to see how coach Thibs and our own kids defend this kid tonight.

Obi and Deuce - I'm pumped! Hopefully Fournier and RJ are shooting well tonight and help keep the lanes open.

Kemba needs off nights man. Or else his knee won't last into the playoffs my dude.

After losing 4-1 vs. Atlanta during the playoffs just last year with a PG who Thibs was scared to play?

That is why Kemba Walker made his way back home to New York City.

He's here for the playoffs. He's made for this. And in the playoffs he's had career monster games. Even led Boston to the Eastern Conference Finals as a starting PG.

And he's made the All-Star team 4 out of 5 years.

Kemba Walker getting rest and spot DNPs here and there is imo not an oh boy moment. It's a future plan with Playoff basketball in mind. The 36th game of December, game #36, against an OKC team won't be remembered if we see a 100% fresh, healthy and focused Kemba Walker come postseason play.

(Especially vs. Atlanta. Where he's 4-1 All-Time vs. Trae Young and those Hawks).

The season is a journey you know. And our journey surrounding Kemba Walker is to make sure he gains team chemistry amongst his new teammates and more importantly, rest him throughout the season and have him 100% for our 2021-2022 playoff run.

Bro, you talking nonsense. This is not about rest. A player with chronic knee problems having a sore knee is cause for concern.

And there goes my excitement level down 10 notches.

I see it as a good thing. We get to find out if EF plays better when involved more in a more movement based offense. His D will be an issue but this is important info that we need to find out.

If EF is involved with the offense then his defensive impact will increase.

It’s only concerning if Kemba was a long term solution. He’s a vet who’s job is to mentor the young and help us in the playoffs. Let him rest.

And that's why he's not playing tonight.

I'll hit the panicking button once I start reading reports how he's officially sidelined for 6-8 weeks like Derrick Rose.

On a side note. Obi's 1st ever career start. Right here right now.
