New York:
(17-18).
@
Oklahoma City:
(12-22) .

▪︎ Have Won 4/5.

▪︎ Currently on a 3 game winning streak.

▪︎And now looking for back to back to back to back (x4) consecutive wins in a row.

■ An OKC win would then put NY @ 5-1 throughout our previous 6 games (5-1) and on a 4 game win streak (which would set a season high).

After almost getting beat by the G League Pistons, I don't feel confident against any team tbh. Even though OKC is pretty awful (dead last in almost every offensive category including PPG, FG% and 3PT%). Need big games from RJ and Kemba. Really want to get back to .500 entering 2022!

I feel better about this game. Detroit felt like it was a trap game going into it. I'm hoping that 2nd half deficit and benching the starters was a wake up call.

You're right, RJ really needs to step up. Burks can't be our only wing making a difference out there. Between IQ and McBride, we've got enough backcourt support to keep Kemba's minutes down, even if he's shooting well.

Randle doubters (haters?) will get some information. What all this seems to me is how important chemistry is, and how elusive good chemistry can be. Despite the remarks of the Thibs doubters (haters!), I believe he is doing everything he can to find what works, including having been patient and even coddled his all star. Which is actually quite reasonable.

So if the team does establish a good chemistry sans Julius, then we have a lot to talk about going forward. If not, then back to the whipping boy rotation....

PG: Deuce McBride and Immanuel Quickley (with Kemba as their veteran PG to keep the pressure off of his two pup PGs).

SG: Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes (or R.J. Barrett, similar to his 2nd year run @ 2G last season).

(could even play Deuce McBride as a combo guard with 3 & D potential here @ 2G too).

SF: R.J. Barrett and Quentin Grimes

PF: Obi Toppin (and of course Taj Gibson as his veteran backup insurance). .

C: Mitchell Robinson and Obi Toppin (with Jericho Sims getting 5-10 minutes too).

Which one of these 7 younger kids will flourish throughout these next 3 games?

PG: Kemba Walker.
SG: Evan Fournier.
SF: Alec Burks.
PF: Taj Gibson.
C: Nerlens Noel.

Which one of these 5 veterans will step up and lead the way once the game slows down?

all these games are dangerous and the league is total trash now. It comes down to which team plays hardest, doesnt turn it over and hits the most 3s.

What you want to see is our young guys playing well and our vets taking advantage of guys with lack of experience. I think we have a talent and coaching for a nice 2nd half turn around. Good teams find ways to grind out wings vs. teams like this.

I’d like to see McBride and Grimes play as well as the knick fan hype machine builds them up to be.
Me, I am good with rookie Inconsistency and as a fan am patient but part about Thibs not playing yoot is an old story.
They step up or not. If not, that does not mean they done. Just for now.

After falling 4 games below. 500, tonight's game is all about getting back to .500 and back into the playoff picture.

According to NBA RotoWire Obi Toppin is starting @ PF tonight.

C: Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Obi Toppin.
SF: R.J. Barrett.
SG: Evan Fournier (listed as questionable).
PG: Kemba Walker

If Evan Fournier is out again (hopefully so) I'd love for IQ to start @ SG due to his A+ chemistry alongside Obi Toppin.

C: Taj Gibson.
PF: ???
SF: Alec Burks.
SG: Quentin Grimes.
PG: Deuce McBride.

That's the bench unit I'd like to see if A.) Fournier doesn't play and B.) I.Q and Toppin get the start.

Lol, everyone has forgotten Knox is still on the team. Poor Knevin. To bad that two way guy we who plays PF is still injured. Bad timing for him.

I am not sure how I feel about Obi starting. Hopefully the starting guards hit him on his cuts to the rim like IQ and McBride. At least we get to see how the starters would play with Obi. How will the bench look without Obi is another interesting thing to watch for.

Look like Shai will play. It does not matter. If we truly play much better without Randle we should still be able to beat OKC with Shai.

I see it as a good thing. We get to find out if EF plays better when involved more in a more movement based offense. His D will be an issue but this is important info that we need to find out.
