Dont look now but right now our Knicks may be 3 games below .500 but despite a slow start to the season; we're still in the thick of things and currently in the postseason HUNT.

#1: New Jersey Nets: 21-9.
#2: Chicago Bulls: 19-10.
#3: Milwaukee Bucks: 21-13.
#4: Miami Heat: 20-13.
#5: Cleveland Cavs: 19-13.

This (below) is where it gets WILD.

#6: Washington Wizards: 17-15.
#7: Philadelphia 76ers: 16-16.
#8: Boston Celtics: 16-16.
#9: Charlotte Hornets: 17-17.
#10: Toronto Raptors: 14-15.
#11: Atlanta Hawks: 15-17.
#12: New York Knicks: 15-18.

Dont look now but NY is currently only 1.5 games out of the 8th seed and only 2.5 games back of the 6th seed!

And with the likes of Kemba Walker exploding + R.J. Barrett/Obi Toppin/Quentin Grimes all recently returning + both of Immanuel Quickley and Deuce McBride soon to return?

The Knicks are about to GO ON A RUN.

@ Minnesota.
@ Detroit.
@ OKC.
@ Toronto.
Vs.Indiana.
Vs. Boston.
@ Boston.
Vs. San Antonio.
Vs. Dallas.
@ Atlanta.
Vs. Charlotte.
Vs. Minnesota.
Vs. New Orleans.

These next 13 games are all winnable and over the next Month (up until January 23rd of 2022) we're going to see these younger Knicks GO ON A RUN while getting us back into the playoffs picture

And some fans are talking about "TANKING AND LOSING FOR PING PONG BALLS" despite being only 2.5 games out of the 6th seed? That's pathetic and DISGUSTING.

Bucks (champs) and Nets are the teams to beat. After Bulls, Heat, and Cavs it’s wide open, and injuries can affect all teams so who knows? Certainly talk of tanking is infantile and absurd. My expectations aren’t high for the Knicks, but I am open to being happily surprised.

What we should be routing for is Charlotte to finish #19

Wow!

Boston Celtics with an epic Christmas Day COLLAPSE/MELTDOWN 😅🤣

62-47 Boston lead at halftime.

Ended up losing by 4 points (117-113 Milwaukee)!

To make it even worse? Milwaukee went on a 12-2 run to end the game during the final 2:30 of the game!

GOTTA LOVE IT!

Well said.

And I believe in a playoffs series NY can stick with all 3 of Chicago/Miami/Cleveland.

Take Chicago for example. Yea we're 0-3 vs them but by a combined 11 points (a whopping 3.6 points per game).

At full strength and 100% healthy I just feel like we can beat those guys come playoff time.

Lots of parity this year. One of bulls, Cavs or Heat will go on a losing streak and the cluster for spots 4-10 will grow

I'm hoping for back to back good off nights for Knicks basketball.

Today:

Miami Heat (20-13) vs. Orlando Magic.

Philadelphia 76ers (16-16) @ Washington Wizards (17-15).

Cleveland Cavs (19-13) vs. Toronto Raptors (14-15).

Chicago Bulls (19-10) vs. Indiana Pacers (14-19).

Chicago's Lonzo Ball.
Miami's Kyle Lowry.

Both have entered COVID-19 Protocol.

Both Miami and Chicago are going to fall in the standings.

Still a lot of time. Took a while for the Knicks to really get it together last year and make take time this year. If Randle catches fire on his 3 pt shot they could easily real off 5-6 wins in a row and basically find themselves in the 6 spot - that seems more likely then them totally crumbling.

The Hawks seemed out of it last year, changed coaches, went on a run and were a hot team going into the playoffs. We're in the mix -- if you're not a top team that's what you want.

we're 4 & 8 in December. We were playing poorly before we lost guys to Covid.

If we win out the last three games in the month, than maybe I think you can say we have a chance - but I can easily see us going 1 & 2, finishing the month 5 & 10.

Win the next 2 games we salvage a brutal month and are only 1 game under .500

I don't think it's becoming another disappointment season.

We're on the verge of getting all of our young talent back together and in the rotation together too.

Knicks last year? 16-17.
Knicks this year? 15-18.

Literally only 1 game back of last year after our first 33 games.

And this year's team is actually so much more talented than last years team and we're about to go ON A RUN.

HOW MANY TIMES/SEASONS THROUGHOUT THE PREVIOUS 20 YEARS HAVE WE ONLY BEEN 2.0 GAMES BACK OF THE 6TH SEED AFTER 33 GAMES?

has anyone seen a goalpost? Anyone? I saw one here a little while ago its gone now

Its 100% been a disappointing season so far. Its weird you cant just be honest about that and still be optimistic.

I have simple hopes:
Julius regains some more of last year's form
RJ has the kind of 2nd half he had last year
We get something good from Grimes/Deuce
Obi/Quickly continue to develop AND play winning bench minutes
We get an asset for a guy who's not really working out (Kemba/Knox/Fournier)

This was NEVER a championship (or 60 win team) but it can still be good and even get past round 1 if we are playing well come spring time. Thats nice but the BIGGEST and most important thing is that IQ/RJ/Obi/Grimes/Deuce/Mitch progress. We need to produce some impact players from the farm.

Some are able to enjoy that process. Some are not

It goes hand and hand, if those guys are improving then we should be a major threat and jump in the standings shouldn't be a struggle.

It’s all about expectation management. This was a 45 win team if absolutely everything went right. Last season was a fluke for a bunch of external reasons. Fans are now in the stands in away games. Randle is looking like the player he always has been aside from last season. We did upgrade at PG — even if the coach disagrees. Knicks fans should be happy with a 7th or 8th seed in the play in

Oh my LORD!

BOSTON with back to back 2nd half disaster meltdown and collapses!

On Christmas day Boston blew a huge 2nd half lead @ Milwaukee and lost by 4.

And tonight they just lost by 5 points (after having a halftime lead of 11 points) @ Minnesota Timberwolves.
