We had good players but the mix was poor. You could easily see it in the first few games.
The two key guys however HAVE to play consistent Barrett and Randle. Were gonna get a boost from Burcks. Our defense will start to look like last years.

IT MIGHT not be the only move we need to make--but it WILL HOPEFULLY give the needed injection to get this back to a 50 win clip.

Briggs....I appreciate the optimism, but you need to understand this isn't a 50 win team. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you'll be able to cope with the next round of disappointing losses.

I really think we are a better team than people think but just have to have the right mix of guys playing together.

Guys out of rotations... Kyrie, Simmons, Blake Griffin, Kemba... add a 3 & D center and that's almost a decent team. LMAO

so I think the thing is we likely are a 50 win (regular season) team. Thibs is a really good coach and the big line up is going to get the defense going again and hopefully continued growth of Obi/IQ fuel the 2nd unit.

Thibs is a coach who gets you more wins plain and simple. Every team he goes to dramatically increases their wins immediately. He lets guys play and pushes the right buttons. The problem is come playoffs its still the NBA and the stars and loaded teams with great finishers win, and the feel good hustle teams like we had last year go home. We still need MORE upper echelon talent whether its external or one of our guys blows up (IQ/Obi its your turn to disappoint the fan base)

A 39-23 record will be tough the rest of the way, especially as more teams get healthy. I don't see it, but I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah Briggs. Do you hear yourself?!? You sound fanatical.

BTW, Burks scores 30 tonight. 10 assists. 3 steals.

It would help if RJ gained steam. That would absolutely help us go on a run.

Well… 25 points, 5 assists, 2 steals. Not too shabby. And almost as many rebounds as Mitch.

The league has improved way to much for that. I'm just hoping the team can finish Top 6. It was pretty likely this team was going to finish with a worse winning percentage but be a tougher playoff opponent this year. Can't keep losing to the Magic if we are going to stay out of the play in rounds

He doesn’t haven to gain steam, just play at a decent level! But anything he can do to match or exceed last year’s play would be gravy.

That’s the thing. Even if we improved last offseason the rest of the Eastern Conference did as well and last season was a little flukey due to covid and Lebron’s stupid bubble tournament that happened just 2 months before

It's pretty clear that you guys look at the standings and the talent on teams to determine how good they are. But almost every team in the league has had issue form injuries to inconsistent play, and the parity is like no other season i have ever witness.

The top 10 teams in the east are separated by less than 3 games, and i just don't see any dominate team in the NBA let alone the EAST.

There's just no team in the NBA that look like world beaters

Looks like the Knicks will go as far as RJ takes them. When RJ is off, we look average. When RJ is on, we look like a dominant team.

The good news is RJ is off and we are still above 500. Let’s hope he goes on a good run soon. Burks might help RJ since he’s not a ball stopper and RJ should have more dribble drive opportunities with Kemba out.

There’s a ton of parity this season. Only 4 elite teams and 25 teams that are between 35-42 win caliber

Its unfolding as the pundits predicted it would with Knicks in the thick of a block of teams that it was hard to quantify the order. We still just a quarter of the season in and more seperation will occur.
Think Celtic fans are scratching their heads about their stars?

Were gonna go on a run soon
