While I am happy Shandon will no longer be in a Knick uniform you have to wonder about the price. $20 million...he couldnt have been included in a trade for some garbage throw ins that might help this team? I mean JYD was a throw in and he has talent.

Why is Isiah going for Robinson? We have TT and Ariza. The 3 is fine. The 2 is fine. The 1 is fine! Its the 4 and 5 spots that need help. Does he think TT can fetch us a big? Or maybe he is going to trade Ariza since he has a buzz around him right now. But why is he bringing in what seems to be the Bulls unwanted players.

Who knows what the masterplan is here but I dont see how Robinson is going to have an impact on this team. Smells a lot like Lee Nailon - anyone remember him??????? He did nothing for the Knicks.

I'm still shocked that Marcus Haislip's name hasn't been mentioned!

Good question as to buying out Shandon.

If I am Dolan, Im pissed Isiah little hissy fit with him cost the team 19$mill!

Shandons strenght is a good defender and rebounder. not shooter. He has been to two finals and was never a problem anywhere. Till Isiah Showed him up in Atlanta last year.

im glad to have the roster spot, and the INTRIGUE with "Whats Isiah that little rascal gonna do next", but take a step back and consider this.

Coulda bought out Moochie for a whole lot less (13mil difference) and opened up a spot!

Im thinking from a business stand point.

I dunno man, I am putting the kool aid down for a minute to think about this one. Something else has to be on the horizon or else this makes no sense.

i dont see where this guy fits. what position? does he take ariza's minutes? i mean where does this guy play???? if h2o comes back, the only logical spot is if TT was moved and I dont see that happening u til he jacks up his value quite a bit.

i don't see it either unless tim is 1/2 way out the door.

on a side note, i don't know how many of you saw the bucks/bobcats game last night but kvh went nuts for about 3 quarters and then down the stretch, where every bucket was huge, they ran at least 3-4 plays for him in the final 3 minutes. he had WIDE OPEN shots, and he clunked every one of them.

now wouldn't you rather have a SF that's clunking the entire game instead ;)

Eddie Robinson is a freak athlete. His ability to run and jump is valuable to these Knicks. These Knicks are trying to play catch up with the rest of the league as far as athletisism.

Eddie was signed to all that money to be a starter. What did he do to lose that? Now the Bulls would be champions again if they kept all the great players they traded away.....So the Bulls obviously have no clue about evaluating talent.

Timmy is obviously on the block. He's too non-chalant of a player to rely on to carry a team. I was on his side last season but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see he is not a Knick. Isiah traded KVH who was doing well for him and has obviously acknowledged it by trying to trade Timmy away.

Ariza is our small fwd. He's not a rookie....you can forget that. Plenty of guys come in and are ready to play. Finley, Sprewell, Hardaway, Zo, Shaq, Wilt Chamberland, Isiah Thomas......every year! How come so much is made about Ariza being just a rookie. Tell that to Lebron and Carmelo.

Ariza and Eddie with Houston still in the mix with Marbs and Craw. The Knicks would be awesome on the perimeter as far as break neck speed.

KT is a bum but he does what he does everynight and he is a Knick. JYD is a Knick even though he barely plays. Sweetney is a Knick.

Isiah will get more. Drinkith of the Koolith Aididas.

eddie robinson had one nice playoff run with the hornets off the bench which he parlayed into a nice deal with the desperate to sign anybody with all this cap space bulls. that was the year EVERYBODY was turning them down like eddie jones. so they overpaid for a dime a dozen player.

erob would've been a nice piece IF we didn't have ariza. but we do, so what does he bring to the table that's different, other than cornrows and another player with a headband?

If I am Dolan, Im pissed Isiah little hissy fit with him cost the team 19$mill!

So Dolan wasn’t mad when Layden brought him in for 40 mil? Or Eisely at 40 mil or whatever the hell they were paying him…Spoon, Knight…A Bloated payroll that couldn’t even sniff the playoffs with a bloodhound's nose

19 mil just to get him out? Might as well, because you were going to pay the remaining 23 just to watch Shandon have a seizure on offense, while getting by on his overrated D. Nothing. Don’t really care to use his salary either as an expiring contract, because that would mean having to put up with his *** for the next two years. Life is too valuable.

What, can't have a non bias discussion?

Dolan has plenty of things to be ashamed at. He ordered Spree traded, and camby moved. Dolan wanted Dice here. He ordered Layden.

I dig Isiah, Im ok with most things. I really don't believe that Isiah could have handled Shandon with a little more class. a 20 $ million buy out is significant. If Isiah was offended by Shandon not coming to a meeting, and not getting respect, its a hissy fit.

If Isiah has a trade in mind, with Miss Gazy involved, THat could be a reason.

Miss Gazy is nothing but a bad contract these days.

Nolad, why do u insist that you know everything that went on behind closed doors between Layden and Dolan? It's getting old man. As soon as someone brings up Layden here you come talking about EXACTLY WHO SAID AND DID WHAT....info that no one could possibly know unless they were there.

"Dolan wanted McDyess.....HE ORDERED LAYDEN!!!"

and what were his exact words may I ask?

Dont even bother TM...Nolod defends Layden to the death. Reminds me of those cats who keep playing music when the Titanic is going down.

The point is Nalod, we were already on the hook for 23 million, because of Layden….That’s truth. No getting around that. I don’t understand why people are getting all brand new and acting like this 19-20 mil is a huge burden considering we were paying Shandon top dollar to do nothing anyway. That goes for the whole payroll while we are at it. Layden degree of separation.

At least this speeds the process, having him on the team was a slow death.

We already have enough future trade pieces, we don’t need to wait on his deal to expire and have to watch him play in the process. My apartment complex is pretty tall, I might be tempted to jump if I watch Shandon butcher another fast break.

I don’t feel a shred of pity for Shandon, because duke was straight stealing money from the Knicks. Legal robbery. (hows that for an oxymoron)

I hope Shandon goes to Utah or whatever the hell he winds up, and falls on something sharp.

Like that commercial says:

Buying out Shandon Anderson = 19 million

Not having to Watch Shandon disgrace the Knicks uniform = Priceless

Read in one of yesterdays papers reiterating that Isiah would not have allowed Dolan to insist on spree and camby to get moved, and dice be bought in. I don't know jack, and don't know half of others based on the so many trade Ideas floating. Check it out, I support Isiah as I did layden. DO the right thing by the team. Layden gets a lot of bad rap for things he was a part of, but not the man like isiah is these days. Thats cool, but history keeps geting bought up.

I don't bring up Layden, I just react to it. I guess my Laydog mentions gets under some peoples skin, cuz I don't hear from some of you dudes until it gets bought up.

Thats my take, I still think Dolan was a lot of the evil behind the scenes when checkets was fired. Laydog was handed a bad card. He made his bone head moves, but some of them were enevitable.

Im all about going forward. I had a signiture a while back: "Laydens gone, get over it". That meant whats done is done, move forward.

They are not bringing in Robinson to sit. Not gonna pay him 1.3mil to cut him in a few weeks.

They don't want to cut Arizas minutes.

Or are they thinking of trading Ariza as part of a Curry deal?

Or any other deal?

If I am Thomas, Can I get a core of Eddy, Ariza and Sweets, with Craw and Marbs? Very young. Just play these guys with H20 off the bench and whom ever is left.

I would not care about the playoffs or how we finish. Just let these guys develope.
