Shandon out!!... Eddie in.... Phil Looming...TT on the block

.... As most of you already kno Shandon Anderson has been offically bout out by the New York Knicks... Shandons buy out clears up a roster space... And it will most likely be filled by former Bulls gaurd Eddie Robinson... Isiah Thomas will fly to Chicago tommerow thursday november 11th to watch Robinson work out and if all goes well offer him a contract... If Robinson is offered and accepts he will dress for Friday Nights Game against the LA Clippers... If Zeke signs Robinson the Tim Thomas factor will be addressed... TT is currently out of rythm and just today Zeke started blowing the trade wins... Hello Eddy Curry fans Zeke proposed a trade to Chicago that would send TT and Nazr to chicago and bring Eddy Curry and Antonio Davis to NY... Chicago rejected that proposal... Zeke considered useing Kurt Thomas instead of Nazr but felt that loosing Kurt would be too much of a blow to the team... Kurt Thomas really is the glue that holds the Knicks together loosing Kurt for Curry would be a tuff pill to swallow... Now the real reason your reading this... Phil Jackson stomping the sidelines of Madison Garden... Knicks running the Triangle offence... Crazy, Nuts, Never will happen right... WRONG! Zeke called Phil Jackson and his Agent today to just gouge intrest... Zeke caught Jackson off gaurd jackson saying he expected a call from him just not at this time... Jackson said his dream has always been to coach the Knicks... Jackson's agent told Zeke that phil has some prior obligations to take care of and would also like time to think, he will call Isiah back next week to resume dissussions... Now what type of contract would it take to land Phil Jack... try 10 million per over 4-5 years... looking at a 40 to 50 million dollar contract... But if thats what u gotta do to get the best in the biz thats what u gotta do... If Jackson excepts... What about lenny... Lenny would be fired on the spot Zeke said "If u gotta a chance to get phil u do it"!... I sure hope it gets done!

So to break it down

Shandon out (11/10)

Zeke to chicago to see E Rob work out then disscuss possible contact offer

Zeke and Phil talk... Jackson seems very interrested will talk next week

Tim Thomas offically on the Trade Block

Also for everybody whose wondering Allen Houston should return to active dutty in about 3 weeks...

How has Curry done this year so far? I haven't really payed attention to the Bulls stats, but I always remember him as an underachevier. But he's a big center, somethign that the Knicks need. And losing TT after his crap playing would be great.I think I would do that deal if this is valid

I like Ty Chandler more, I feel Sweetney and Curry are two very similar players, while Chandler is a Camby-type shotblocker and rebounder that the Knicks could really use to defend the lane.

Interesting proposal.

Very interesting.....

Imagine a Sweetney-Curry-Ariza frontcourt with Steph and Craw in the bck...looks young and Ultra promising to me...I only have one question...are we cherry picking the Bulls or what? Williams, Crawford, Curry, Robinson.....we are the NY Bulls.....I hope they mesh better here since they may have better developmental coaches here.

Also, Chandler may be a better fir, but I would rather have Curry who at least is a healthy underachiever....as opposed to an injury prone athlete...Chandler is too much like Camby, IMO...if you get my drift.

I don't think the Bulls would take TT for A Davis, their contracts run the same length. What the Knicks should do is trade Tim Thomas and a pick for Glenn Robinson's expiring deal. Then turn around and offer Glenn and Nazr for Eddy Curry and A Davis. Chicago gets out of a year of $13 million owed to A Davis by getting Glenn's expiring deal and Nazr is a decent backup center who would make up for the loss of Curry, sort of (ha!), but their salaries match. Chicago would save at least $13 million, not counting luxury tax, and if they could buy out Glenn Robinson, could save an extra $1 or $2 million.

Whether Paxson would want to give a second straight young stud to the Knicks is HIGHLY questionable.

Would we have the money to resign Curry to a larger deal?

why would they need tim thomas if thethey have deng and nocioni( hope i spelled it right)? the only thing i can think of is his contracts is off the books in another season. after the way naz played the other night, i can see him being legit trade bait. if we have a chance to get curry we should take it. it is a risk since he is not playing his best ball right now but he is young and still considered one of the top center talents in the league. he always start slow then pick it up around the all- star break. i think him working with aguirre will work wonders for his game. he has back to the basket moves, quick for his size and he can shot block. a legit starting center for the next ten years.

Can we question whether we want to commit long term to Eddie?

He is underachieveing with a bad rep. A True Knick. Whats missiing? He is not Overpaid! yet.

I can't get excited over his potential cuz it may not be there. NBA is hard work. These kids are getting rewards first, then put in the work. If they in fact do the work.

Does this kid have it in him to be great? Is he coachable? Isiah can get in some of these kids heads, but not all of them want to be great.

If we trade for Curry we will have the right to match anyone's offer in free agency since he is a RFA, so we would be fine. I think we would also be able to resign him to a larger deal before FA, but I'm not sure about that.

Curry Wants Out
He has only played one game this season but already Eddy Curry feels that this year will be no different to the three others he has already spent in Chicago. The words 'win’ and 'Bulls' have seldomly been used together since Michael Jordan hung up his sneakers at the end of 1998, and according to those around Curry for him to become a winner he needs to move on.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times Eddy Curry wants out of the Windy City.

''I'd hate to see him leave Chicago because Chicago always will be his home,'' said Curry's mother, Gayle, who has been at times her son's toughest critic and biggest cheerleader. ''They can't take that away from him. But if that's what it takes for him to fulfill his ambition to be the best player he can be, then I want what's best for my son.

''Playing for another team helped Elton Brand, Ron Artest, Brad Miller, Trenton Hassell, Fred Hoiberg and others to do better on better teams. I believe that the same can happen for Eddy. Maybe in the future, Chicago may be the best place for him to play. But right now, it isn't.''

Curry’s agents Darren White and Lamont Carter are in full agreement and say it's time to ask operations chief John Paxson to trade Curry to another team, ''as some have been already suggesting in the media anyway.''

''Eddy has some serious concerns about whether the situation with the Bulls is in the best interest of his basketball future,'' White said. ''He's not ripping anybody. He's not that kind of person. He's working harder than ever and trying to help the Bulls get better. But Lamont and I no longer feel that he can reach his fullest potential playing for the Bulls, and this is something that will not go away. ''

''I would love to try to do something in the near future, even before they go on this road trip [beginning Tuesday]. We feel it would be a win-win situation for both parties. Since Eddy doesn't see himself taking it to another level with this organization, why do we need 15 or 20 more games to validate that? We certainly wouldn't want to see them go through the whole season and then try to trade him. We just feel Eddy does not fit into the Bulls' future, and since this is a contract year, we'd rather he try to sell himself in a more promising and more positive situation.''

Curry will become a restricted free agent at this seasons end, meaning the team which owns his rights will have the right to match any contract offer sheet that Curry may sign. Should he remain with the Bulls and his stock continues to plummet the maximum sized contract sought by his representatives this summer may not present itself, and certainly not by the Bulls.

Paxson said he's not going to panic in response to any suggestions from the media, or perhaps even requests from agents, that Curry or Chandler or both be traded.

''I sympathize with our whole fan base and media base who have seen this for seven years now,'' Paxson said after practice Wednesday. ''But the time is not right now to decide the futures of Tyson and Eddy. Have we put some expectations and burdens on them? Yes. But everybody gets that in this league. You wouldn't do that if you didn't feel they had something in them to be better players.''

"But we're not ready to abandon them after three games. I'd told them that they are going to be measured by the fact they can make a difference in [the Bulls] winning games. So we don't want them to be discouraged. We want them to play.''

But insiders say that Curry has been privately voicing discouragement because of the way the media are ripping him and suggesting he be traded and the way fans are booing the team.

''Actually, it's been an accumulation of things,'' one close friend said. ''First and foremost, there's all this losing. Next, there's the media blaming him and Tyson Chandler more and more for the Bulls' failures, as if it's all their fault. The Bulls were losing big-time before he came, and they haven't helped things by continuing to change rosters and coaches and concentrate on youth and inexperience.''

Hey, now we all have new trade proposals to harp over.
I might as well be the first one to throw it out there...Moochie for Eddie.

Man I can't help but think the exact same thing. You really need to do a risk assessment here. This guys' good games are interspersed with real lackluster absent performances. Do we have the kind of coaching staff or togh veteran leadership on this club to whip this kind of kid into shape? No.

Deng is doing what we want Timmy to do. The Euro dude(I'm not even gonna try to spell it) is pretty good too. So I dunno why they would do a trade for Timmy.....

Antonio for Timmy is genius and I bet Isiah is thinking just like us and looking around the league for guys making similiar money to Timmy and might be falling out of favor with their respective teams. GRRRRRRRR-eat!

EDDY CURRY : "I was nervous out there,'' Curry said. "I wasn't able to get it going. They double-teamed me. I had to make decisions fast. It was tough.''"They did a great job of keeping the ball out of my hands and making me a non-factor," Curry said. "I kind of (expected the double-teams) but not as aggressive as it was."

And do you really think he can handle the pressure of being the saviour at center playing at Madison Square Garden?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
