I have killed him more than any over the last 3 years, but when he's not asked to score and kept to 30-35 minutes he's the kind of role player we need more of. Great game from KT.

Ariza is playing TT out of a lot of minutes. He's nut just one of these freak run/jump athletes... he's a highly skilled player. Boards, steals, passing... he's the real deal. This guy has a very bright future ahead of him here.

Kurt's a very good role player and a good defender. People just have short memories. The only thing they could remember over the offseason for six months is how much he struggled toward the end of last year and in the playoffs (when he had a dislocated finger in his shooting hand)

I agree fishmike, KT has been a rock for us, and when he is not forced to score is more than a competent big man..

Ariza IMO looked better than Iguodala out there, the kid makes smart plays, and anticipates well, that putback dunk, the assist to craw at the buzzer and the steal, basically put the game away...

Kurt did a lot of the little things for us tonight, all of the things people won't be seeing on SportsCenter.
I'm glad he got playing time at C over Vin tonight.

I'm not sure the Knicks would have won the game tonight without the contribution from our mid 2nd rd pick (Ariza)!

I was thinking the same thing, Fish. It feels funny to say, but Kurt plays with more Vet smarts than anyone on the team except, perhaps, Penny. We need him more than another young athlete. He's rebounding like crazy, playing the good help D he always plays, hitting the open 15 footer ... I don't want him traded. Man, he made Kenny Thomas and Corliss look bad last night.

I don't watch many games that Williamson plays in, but I can't remember him ever looking worse than last night.

Kurt is a bit like an old chevy

-it ain't pretty, but it gets you where you want to go.

I think a lot of fans look at him and see a slow and not skilled or athletic player- his play is very subtle.

Kurt gives 100% everynight... I have never denied him that. He also plays better when there are guys behind him (Sweet, JYD) that can take his minutes if he goes mental. He's been awesome so far. I didnt see the Bos game but even getting smoked by KG (everyone does) he didnt give up and still worked hard on the glass. Because of his value off the bench as well as a started I'm getting more and more ok with his contract. He's very good in this kind of system.

He was misused w/ Chaney/Layden. He's NOT a center, especially when Harrington is your PF.

The problem with KT is that he has been miscast for the last few seasons. As our third option he was not a good player. But with Marbury and Crawford leading the way, TT(kind of), and Sweetney ahead of him on the offensive pecking order, KT becomes more valuable. Even more so when Allan Houston comes bakck
