Check out their stats so far.....

Ariza:(in two games)
Mins:21.0 FG%: 50.0% FT%:50.0% off reb:1.0 def reb:3.0 Total rebs:4.0 Assists: 2.5 Turnovers 2.0 Steals: 1.5 PF:4.0 7.5ppg

Iguodala:(in 3 games)
Mins:26.7 FG%:40.9% FT%:85.7 off reb:1.3 Def rebs:3.3 Total rebs:4.7 Assists:1.7 Turnovers:1.7 Steals:2.0 Blks:0.7 PF:3.3 9.0ppg.

Very similiar.....thing is Andre is a starter and has been getting almost 6 more mintutes per game. If Ariza was starting and getting the opportunity to get starters minutes Ariza's numbers could have been even better.

Keep in mind that Ariza is 6'7" 194lbs and Andre is 6'6" and 207lbs......not really much difference. They are only a year apart. Ariza hasn't attempted a 3pter yet, but Andre is far from lights out.

If Andre Iguodala is a guy that is in the running for rookie of the year then Ariza should be up there too.

I bet you guys agree they are very similiar players.

ariza has no type of offensive game other than put it on the floor and go straight to the rim. he desperately needs to develop a jumper if he wants to play more than 20 mins a night in his career.

but for where he is now, he's playing far better than anyone would think.

Ariza's #'s are better than TT's in fact...makes you wonder if TT still thinks we're playing pre-season games here...time to start playing some BALL Timmy!

everyone keeps talking about Ariza's lack of offensive game, I mean that is to be expected, Carmello and Lebron are the exception to the rule for 19 year olds, but they don't do one thing ariza does, and that is play defense, Ariza's offensive game will come around, as long as he can play defense and rebound I am happy with that..

As far as ariza vs Igudala, they are very close, except Igudala was a lottery pick, that just makes me wonder where a guy like Ariza really fits in the draft..
Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

What does Andre do so much better than Ariza?

We'll find out tonight.....

If you saw the last three games you would probably say the same for Andre as you do for Ariza.....

Thing about both I also wanna point out is Andre supposedly already has a decent jumpshot. Ariza supposedly doesn't......when Ariza does start to knock down his shots how good will he be!?!?!?!

I can't wait till tonight......

I'm not saying that Ariza will have a breakout game or that Andre won't.....I just wanna point out the style and similarities of both players.....

for a 19 year old. Ariza's shots are falling at a pretty good rate I'd say.

remember he is 19 he will not go 7-9 from the field just yet

The only thing I want Ariza to learn right now is when to pull-up and jump straight up to shoot 6-7 foot jump shot so he doesn't commit those offensive fouls. He is a highlight film waiting to happen. Kinda cool that he picked number 21.
