Some on this board have highly criticized this dude for being injury prone, but failed to realize how valuable this cat is even when he is not %100. A %70 is much better than all of our frontline combine. I am talking about: TT, Kurt, Naser, and Vinny. One man who is not even 100% is better than 4 able bodies? That is not saying much about our front-court. I will highly praise Isiah if he makes that move. I don't give a damn about how much he is making, bottom line is this, we already have a F'ed up cap situation, getting rid of two of those 4 players to get CWebb is definitely worth it.

Oh my got, Sac 0-2 also!

Panic now, trade now! Quick, before we lose another game!

Sac's 0-3 now. If you extend their winning percentage over 82 games, they'll go 0-82

CWebb will be back in the east. His career, I believe started in the East, therefore like all the great ones, it will end in the East. Shaq, Sheed, ???, why not CWebb as a KNick??

He was drafted by Orlando and traded to Golden State I believe. Then they traded him to the Wizards, who dealt him to the Kings for Mitch Richmond.

He should be exactly the type of player the Knicks should avoid: breaking down, wrong side of 30, overpaid, and a shell of his former self.

If Webber had a $5 million contract that goes for 2 yrs, and if we could swap 1 or 2 of our crap players (SA, Nazr, Mooch, Baker) for him, I'd take him. Otherwise, NO THANKS. Going after Webber with his injury and max & long contract is like a business investing heavily in a travellers check industry. Bad news...it's only gonna go downhill.

These big contracts take down teams when the francise player get hurt.

Maybe they need to do it like the NFL. Big upfront payment, a few years guaranteed, then if they break, buh-bye.

If they get well, the player can catch on somewhere else.

Webber and Sac's 2005 #1 for Shandon, KT and Moochie. The money works. Otherwise no thanks (even this is pushing it)

I agree Nalod, these players attempt to hold teams ransom with these huge longterm deals, and as they start to break down, the only beneficiary of this contract is the player. I don't like the way the NFL does their contracts but I do agree that the NBA needs to adopt some form of that type of contract, but not to that extreme...

Doug Christie and C Webb for Allan and KT

Cwebb is twice the player that Allan is when only 80%

No one will take on Houston's contract unless he is in his last year.

Have you picked up on some migration pattern for over 30 Players of large stature?

CWebb is a good player. I have two major issues with him.

#1 - His Knees are as bad as Houston's

#2 - He is not a winner. Look at his college days. Look at his Sacatamato days. I think he has too much baggage.

That being said his style is exactly what NY needs. He is infinitely available. If NY could give up say TT/Nazr and a Moochie for him, I'd do it despite the problems I stated above.

YOu right,

he's got bad knees,

He is a loser,

He is overpaid,

On the down side his career,

That being said, he is the perfect Knick!

If Sac wants to take our bloated overpaid losers for him, sure why not.

Some fans have been clamoring for Webber for the last 5 years, when is it going to stop?He chokes in the playoffs and busts Peja for doing the same thing. He spends more time on the IL than almost any other player, why add another ridiculous contract? He isnt worth it.

Wow, I just looked at this contract! It is worse than Houston's! The only way to get him is for H20 and I say at this time, no.

Go for Nene.
