Same here.

And for how bad our D has played out the gates imo it's a promising sign that throughout 11 games we've held our opponents under 100 pts 4x. That's actually a better start than last year for what it's worth.

You knew this wasn't going to be easy. It's a Doc Rivers coached team. Even when we were up 19, I knew the Sixers would make a run and make us sweat. Thankfully we held on. Randle stepped up and refused to let us lose this one. He made clutch shot after clutch shot. Burks also made some big shots to start the 4th to keep the Sixers from taking the lead or tying the game. I was most happy with the improved effort on defense and the glass. We still have too many lapses defending the threes but the effort was a lot better. Sixers only shot 13/40 from three and they do have some shooters. We also outrebounded them by 8 even though Drummond had 25.

There is nothing wrong with winning ugly. We're 7-4.

You gotta play the games...they don't win themselves.

I think rather than look at this season and say the Knicks are lucky, they could have been way worse etc. I look at it this way- a leading indicator that they are good is that they are ahead by double digits in so many of these games. The problem is they haven't been able to figure out how to play well enough situationally to preserve leads. That said, they've managed to hang tight and win a lot of the games where they have been squandered.

I just find myself wondering, why are we giving up a ton of open 3's when we're up 16? Can play a bit more situationally here?

Teams have to go a bit hail mary to attempt to get back into the game.

Yeah so when you know a hail Mary is coming you play prevent. It seems like when we go up 16 we give up more open 3s which is counter intuitive.

he is kind of a one trick right now cant lie

gets steals, hits the boards, takes charges, never turns it over and can be a flamethrower from downtown at any time. Absolutely has appeared to have lost a step but I still love him at his current price. Seem like more than one trick to me.

The problem with Kemba/Rose is just because they can do more than be role players doesnt mean they should be more than role players. What I am really saying is we are still built on Randle/RJ and need those guys to play like "the guys"

Thats fair but I was specifically referencing how Kemba was playing last night. He was only looking to do one thing and that was come off screen looking for 3 or do his dribble pullup.

and that is a fair point for sure... which is what makes our 7-4 record just fine imo... we have a new starting backcourt, some guys are finding themselves etc and we know others can do more and be more consistent and we are still winning games. You are right... there are times we just look "figured out" like its techmo bowl and the other team is picking your plays. I like that we are taking some lumps and figuring things out but still tied for 5th in the EC
