Another lucky break? Just like Atlanta had a lucky break with Mitchell Robinson being injured and out as our starting Center come playoff basketball last year?

A Rookie Scottie Barnes or no Rookie Scottie Barnes; the Toronto Raptors aren't beating us.

Imo every team we've played this year has been given a lucky break because our backup Center in Nerlens Noel (an impact big man) has missed every single game this year (thus far).

Even if Scottie Barnes were to play tonight, he would've played like crap and that's because R.J. BARRETT'S DEFENSE ON THE WINGS IS BECOMING A+.

I understand where you're coming from but if Toronto can not overcome a Rookie injury for a game or two etc well then imo they don't deserve any excuses to begin with.

Me too. The guy is looking like a good bet to be rookie of the year!

also reported: toronto superfan djsunyc is doubtful for tonight's game with strained loyalty and a questionable heart.

We’re 0 for a zillion in Raptor threads where djsunyc shows up, so this will hopefully be a good omen!

They got a pasting for picking him over Suggs, but looks like they made the right draft call (again)

What the hell is this martin? A Raptors fanboy thread?
Hope is a good thing. And nothing good ever dies, but it just may not make it too far in the playoffs. Or maybe it will...next year... after we trade away everything for Kawhi... and Dame... and CP3...

Hell yeah! Raptors! I hope Malachi Flynn gets minutes tonight. I feel like this could be his breakout season!

I represent that remark. I hope the waiter spits in your drink when you propose to Rebecca in the blue seats.

Someone is asking the same thing at Ultimate PurpleDinasours after numerous postings off the Canadian golden boy's 35 point eruption Wait until RJ hits his final form and peaks all over the Raptor forums

Did I hear someone request a Melo highlight video. Might as well seeing someone had the nerve to post an opponents highlight video.

Most Knicks fans wouldn't even ADMIT how big of a loss not having Mitchell Robinson during the playoffs vs. Atlanta truly was (our starting Center, rim protector, #1 rebounder and Tom Thibs true Defensive Anchor to the NBA's #1 Defense etc).

But yet now I'm already reading built in excuses for Toronto being without Pascal Siakam and a ROOKIE Scottie Barnes? Cry me a river. If they lack awesome depth, that's their problem.

R.J. Barrett would've exposed Scottie Barnes tonight.

Genuine question: are you referring to before or after the series?

Were you bullish on the Hawks and predicting a series win for them before game 1 based on Robinson's absence?
