GAME #1 @ MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.

■ TONIGHT IS THE START OF SOMETHING MAGICAL.

Something special happened last year.

Tom Thibs happened last year.

A complete 360 happened last year.

A locker room CULTURE was born last year.

This 2021-2022 team is stacked like never before.

We're way deeper than 2012-2013's team. Julius Randle is our Carmelo Anthony and outside of that? There is no comparison from top to bottom.

STARTING 5:

C: Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Julius Randle.
SF: R.J. Barrett (loving him @ SF on the wings at a playmakingposition). .
SG: Evan Fournier.
PG: KEMBA WALKER!

BENCH TOP 5.

C: NERLENS NOEL.
PF: OBI TOPPIN.
SF/SG: ALEC BURKS.
SG/PG: IMMANUEL QUICKLEY.
PG: DERRICK ROSE.

I capitalized these names because this bench at full potential can challenge for an Easterm Conference 6th-8th seed; as starters. And this is our top 5 off the bench? That's disgusting. The team/coach/player chemistry from this backup unit is going to become electric.

I haven't already loved and looked forward to an NY Knicks team heading into a season like quite like this since a kid throughout the 1990's.

Taj Gibson. big man.
Quentin Grimes. Future STAR. Rookie prospect.
Jericho Sims. Sleeper pick. Another big man body.

This is nuts. This roster is lights out with TOP NOTCH D.

Said it before and I'll say it again, optimism is great enthusiasm is even better, but I hope these expectations don't turn sour if the Knicks don't start 4-0.
