Nice feature Martin has given us and perhaps he can tell us does it lock in the predictions after the season started or can one change it? If so it takes the fun out. If so lets put our stones on the table and use it. If not, post them and lets have some fun.

At the time I write this only three “predictions” are on the board.
Read one post a week or so ago say “I see no reason why we can’t win 60”, then next day “We can win 50 or more”. Well put your name to it as preseason is over and the games count for real.
Since the tab does not disclose who is who I’ll start:

47 wins, 7th seed.

My reasoning is not build on hate. As a fan my hopes and dreams are one thing.

I follow the knicks but really don’t follow other teams so I think others are like me and in a bit of a vacuum with our fandom. Its natural. I think Nets, Philly (with simmons or value trade), Milwaukee, ATL, and Miami are better in no particular order. Perhaps im playing the odds to think ONE OF Pacers, Bulls, Charlotte, Boston and Toronto COULD be as well. Not saying each of them individually are but the odds are teams can surprise and just one might be. For all I know it could be Orlando or the Wiz who are this years “knicks” from last season. Im saying one of the 5 Could be better, and thus if I was a betting man, I’d have to consider this.

This is just for predictions. This is were we stop and make a call. We can change our minds in the season 100 times but preseason be accountable for fun sake. Hope Martin sticks this.
BTW, I’d love it if we win 60 and get called out for my lack of faith!!!! Likewise if we suck, be fun to banter about with the homers their delusional optimism. Its all fun and games here. Leon rose does the hard part. We get to second guess!

Injuries aside, I think there will be magic in KW's return to NYC. And Jules is a true leader (by example) who motivates and elevates his teammates. Regardless of outcome, I am incredibly stoked to watch stage 2 of our renaissance. Slow and steady wins the race. I think Leon gets this simple tenet.

My reason is that we play defense as good as any team in the NBA, and probably the best in the east, and now we have the offense to go with that, with more emphasis on pace and 3 point shooting

Agreed, I wouldn’t be surprised if we shock the NBA again if healthy and get close to 60 wins. But I’ll be happy with 46 + wins.

no other team in the nba has the depth quality that this knick team has, on talent we have to be top 5 in the NBA not just the east.

Nalod I don’t see how 47 wins only gets us the 7th seed that would put a lot of teams over achieving in front of us in the east. 47 wins should at the least get us the 5th seed.

Your probably right. I suppose Im more centric on the other teams thus 44-45 wins might be more accurate. I really am enthusiastic about this team but I can’t think that increasing pace won’t hurt our defense. Bottom line is outscoring the opponent so I guess we move more in the middle. Better offense, bit worse defense.
I’ll stick with my predictions. Its all for fun. i’d ask for a single win total as ranges are vague. Its logical though but record predictor has a slot just for one.

I think ATl and Miami are better this year.
One team suprises and jumps us. We 7th seed.
Simple.

I seem to be near the minority in this. Most think team is better and the preseason is a preview. I think we played shyt teams up until now. Maybe not pacers first game with new coach is not a predictor.
