Those were his numbers from lastnight. Just thought I'd add a little balance on the site about this guy.

Yes, we need a center. But Chris Mihm ain't it. I know it's just one game. But it was just one game in the prior contest when he had career numbers and people overreacted like he was the second coming of Wilt.

The Jazz were SUFFOCATING last night. Mihm is going to be a pretty good center but not the long term solution I don't think.

Now you have to make excuses for this guy? I'm sure that was the Jazz's game plan "let Kobe go wild but we have to stop this guy Mihm" Briggs where art thou?
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Good post. Balance should be maintained around here.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

the question isnt whether Mihm is our center of the future, its whether he's better and makes more sense than Baker, who's making about the same amount of cash.

I think its pretty safe to yes.. I would take Mihm over VB any day

are you serious?

I haven't been following the "Secret of Mihn" threads and I have not really followed this guy, but I don't like his game, in terms of what the Knicks are looking for.

The Knicks have firepower and scoring at the 1-2-3. They need interior defense and post play at the 4-5. Mihm is neither. He is a less tough Doleac in my mind.

I think of him as a more athletic Doleac. He's actually pretty tough and works hard. At 25 still has some upside... I just thought his age and scoring made him a better fit.

the bottom line is mihm is what i believe he is--BETTER than Vin baker and Nazr. I never said he was the second coming of Patrick, I said he was better spent money than Vin Baker because that is the truth. Hes going to average 13-14 points and close to 10 rebounds with 2 blocks and that trumps anyone playing C for us. Let me know the next time a Knick frontcourt player even has 23 pts 12 reb 3 blocks in 34 minutes. Its back to back the guy played 24 minutes and kobe played differently then two nights ago. If kobe shares the ball, Mihm is going to score at a high% rebound and block shots. bottom line hes faster than Nazr and Vin and 2 inches and 30 pounds heavier with more skill. this isnt vin baker 23 years old, this is vin baker years of alcholism physical problems fluctuating weight etc.. he's an OLD 33 and Nazr is a back up who should be making 2-3 mm

in fairness Nazr did that 3 times last year... including one game with 20 points and 18 boards. Mihm's got better value because he's young.. thats about it too me.

Why should we notify you as to the next time a Knicks center has those numbers when Mihm himself has never even done it before the other day?
Also, the number you ahev up their for what you think Mihm will average are ballooned....to say the least

If we sit here and post people's career night stats we'd be here all night long. We'd be posting Mohammad's career high games etc. You don't make decisions based on career nights. I posted this thread because to point out a "regular" Chris Mihm night. Not an out-of-body experience night for Mihm. And as far as Mazr being a back up.......guess what Chris Mihm is.......take one guess. Vlade's BACKUP!

We need post play and shotblocking. Mihm had neither traits. Plus he's a career backup just like what we already have.
