Now just needs to use it in a game. Now that would be off-season progress

MitchRob has been an 80% shooter from inside 10 ft of the basket throughout his rookie contract, plus the amount of MitchRob's FGA throughout his rookie contract are lower than the amount of offensive-rebounds he grabbed throughout 4 seasons. Some Knicks games MitchRob only took 2 FGA, but grabbed 4 offensive-rebounds.
I don't recall any coach offensive plays design for center MitchRob from any of the Knicks 3 head coaches.
I still say today, the Knicks FO should've resign center Jordan to spend a full season as a mentor to the young Knicks center MitchRob when he was in his 2nd season in the NBA.

Well.....

A+ for fan interaction.

D- for feeling the need to post that because someone on Twitter hurt his feelings

One talent Mitch demonstrated early on was the abilty to make almost anyone look like a point guard. The way he could finish almost any alley-oop.

We now have a legitimate starting point guard. Im hoping with the addition of Brunson, and Mitch working on his game in the off-season, will pay dividends.

I might j*zz the first time I see Brunson (or D-Mitch) throw it up to Mitch for an alley oop

He was physically over matching anyone on the court in stretches. Most impressive was running back on defense!
Good to seem him in peak shape early for a change.

Really impressive game - like a young Dwight Howard or a mid-20s prime Deandre Jordan.

If the Knicks cleared out for Mitch for an iso post-up, it'll take the opponent center off guard and be a foul waiting to happen. That'll tweak the scouting report on him and open things up a little for guys on the perimeter.

Or... if he could take an open 3 every so often.

Interestingly, a guy we often compare him to is Mo Bamba (he earned a 2yr/20m deal this off-season). Bamba is not the defensive presence that Mitch nor the explosive alley-top finisher, but he is a legit 3pt shooter (38% last season) and FT shooter. Another path to development for Mitch is to actually shoot a 3 every few games. I think iHart joining the team will increase that possibility - the Knicks will want to run the same types of plays no matter who's on the floor. Mitch tends to crash the boards for offensive rebounds, but mixing it up by staying outside for an open 3 will also open up the floor.

Thats the next step in his progression as a center. I keep hearing that Mitch has been working on a mid range jumper. But until he starts posting up his defender, and calling for the ball, its probably not going to happen. Has to send the message that he wants the ball.

He took a 3 footer last night. I was so proud.

Does Mitch really need to develop an outside shot? Joakim Noah and Marcus Camby never did and those are the 2 players he’s most similar to

Actually they both could and did hit a midrange jumper.

He more Capella and Deandre Jordan.
Joakim and Camby had nice midrange game. Joakim's got ugly as a knick.
Joakims % as a knick is about as accurate as your posts.
