This was the 1st game that I thought Obi really had a great game. He shot a good percentage from the field and was not a turnover machine. The points were always there but he was inefficient

IQ is still inconsistent.

Very poor game from McBride on the offensive side.

Rokas had a great game for the time he was actually in.

Grimes also with a great game. He did what he always does but this time shot well from the field and 3pt land. This guy grabs so many rebounds as a SG its crazy.

Obi as a stretch 5 is getting me excited

I like how he looks playing at the 5, he needs to get stronger but his jumper has definitely improved

Well, that's what happen when a Knicks team dont have a center, and have to play small-ball all game, and their opponent have a first round pick that shoots 7-10 from the 3-ball line, plus a decent 7 foot center Garza (10 pts, 12 rbs, 3 ast, 5 blocks) to control the paint all game.

The Knicks Quickley & Obi Toppin would be 4-0 in the SL Games if the foolish Knicks FO would have selected Jalen Johnson with the 19th pick.

I think they knew Mitchell，Noel，and Gibson were coming back so there wasn't any room to develop a center. Simms missing is probably what you meant. I don't think anyone is drafting for a good Summer League team.

Pistons basically play their regular season starters minus Jerami Grant.

Quickley has been showing us a decent combo-guard style throughout the SL Games ..
Tonite IQ shot like a blind-man however, IQ hustle-defense and finding Dimes to create several come from behind runs in the game, plus always lighting Obi's confidence on scoring inside/outside as the #1 option .. That was my excitement! I just wish we would've selected Jalen Johnson at 19 in the draft, so the Knicks SL games would've had a trio-scoring-option lineup of IQ Obi Jalen

Man, we lost the Summer League title. How will this franchise recover from that?

Or we may move on with life, wishing lots of health for a team that when healthy is stacked while also in position for a big trade for a star.

14.5% odds of gaining the top pick is not worth tanking for one player. Not this past year, and not since the odds were realigned.

My thoughts….

- Kade shot great but rest of his game looks mostly meh (assist #s very low) but I do like this kid
- Quick really needs to slow the blank down and back off on some of his ****iness (that was a brutal floor & shooting game tonight).
- Deuce shot poorly- that’s going to happen
- Grimes I really like his all around game and I like that he’s not all swagger but has some patience to his game. Very solid body (maybe quickness will improve if he loses 8-10 pounds)
- Obi finally showed some mid-range and his rebounding has been solid. Obi like Quick needs to be able to slow down a notch because everything they do is at MAX RPMs. Actual games - especially playoffs are much slower.
- Joku showed toughness, confidence and some range —- great stash ancd grow candidate

We have been such a dysfunctional franchise that NO approach worked for us for a very long time - not drafting, not free agent signing, not trades. And before we talk about a past, let us remember that right now we have just become middle of the pack. A couple of ill-timed injuries - and we could easily be back in the lottery or get dumped in the first round of the playoffs again.

Actually, even with our current team and its improvements it would take a lot of effort and luck for us to last two playoff rounds. And when this class of draftees matures in 3 years, watch out. All hopes on another major breakthrough by RJ.

Leadership doesn't show up in the box score but if it did...!

Cade spent every minute talking with his teammates， biggest asset he brings and why he was the number one pick.

The Knicks are not lucky enough to tank. We don't ever move up and we don't get a top 2 pick even if we have the best odds to get number 1. It is a waste of time that does nothing but hurt our image across the league. Our scouts usually find good talent late but never find superstar talent.
