Jalen Johnson who was picked by our new hated rival Atlanta Hawks @ 20 is looking good in the preseason. Thinking we didn’t pick him bc we still have “cement shoes” Kevin Knox on the team.

It will be part of a bigger trade. We will never use it. Considering the offseason acquisitions it was the right move. Grimes and McBride aren’t breaking the top 10 in the rotation and will only see time in case of injury or rest. There’s no regular minutes for any first round pick unless they are a star.

The pick probably comes in 2023, which should be a deep draft. More than likely, the Knicks package it with other assets for a star player. But if Walker can stay healthy, this team really has plugged most of its holes, and we may actually keep the pick to continue building our youth.

the extra 2.5-3 mm or so might have been the difference between Kemba coming here vs. being in the ballpark for several team's salary exceptions.

I hope we are pick #15 that year

I hated this trade… really really hated it. Maybe there wasn’t someone there that went according to plan but there certainly was talent available… and to add insult to injury we could’ve drafted Knox’s replacement

Knox was awesome in that game. Wish we had that player. Is he still salvageable or is he buried too far to ever see a chance to be awesome like this ever again on this team?

Would much rather see Jalen Johnson over Wayne Seldon out there.

Don’t think the extra 2 million would have made a difference in signing our free agents.
Just hope they don’t keep Kevin Knox bc of the Kentucky connection; which cost us a young player to develop.

Hope we use that future #1 we got for #19 on something good..
