He wanted to come in 2019, but said he wanted to come with somebody. Randle is now "somebody." Obviously it's more than that, and the culture makes a difference. Kemba is a nice guy who is a star and will attract others to put the Knicks on their short list. It may not be a PG, so i don't believe the Lillard thing has much chance, but some young stars like Zion, Doncic and Mitchell may look at what the Knicks are doing that their franchises are not and see an opportunity. Look at the Pelicans who just had a brutal offseason and also let Zion's friend Lonzo basically walk for nothing.
