How does Kemba Walker not count as a true PG? Over the past 6 seasons, He's been a top-5, top 10 PG. And even by the worst measures, he's a top-half starting PG in the league. It doesn't get much better than this. If anything, the main thing you ideally want is to know he can stay healthy and be there unhobbled.
His presence will make the Knicks play better. He's not as ball dominant as, let's say, Damien Lillard, so at least by that measure, he's a better match *if* your vision is to share the ball around (to Randle and to a lesser extent, RJ and now Fournier).
While I too like Fox (I've followed him a lot as he's part of a keeper fantasy league), he may not be an ideal "winner". Case in point, look at what Ja Morant has been able to do with a similarly (un)talented roster with 2 seasons less NBA experience. Fox is putting up some serious stats, but maybe he's a bit like Brandon Ingram at this phase of his career - big numbers, but it doesn't translate directly to wins. Some players seem to have developed a better feel of what's needed when it's needed.
