NOT EVEN JOKING
THIS OFF SEASON IS A NEW LOW FOR ALL NBA TEAMS AND KNICKS AS WE ARE CLEARLY THE LAUGHING STOCK THAT EVERY NBA TEAM WILL WANT TO BEAT ON AND LAUGHED AT WITH THEIR FANS....

ON THE 1 BRIGHT SIDE WE CAN PROBABALY OUTBID TEAMS THAT ARE WILLING TO SELL US 4PICKS,2 SWAPS for one player if we remove draft protections

I RATHER SIGN NO ONE THAN SIGN WHAT WE SIGNED

We couldn't signed

S tier
A Tier
B Tier
C Tiers

D Tiers with B tiers market value and length of contracts
WE WERENT ABLE TO SIGN ONE PLAYER UNDER THEIR WORTH OR IS A TOP 60 player

Did Dolan step in and put COY Thibs in charge cause I truly can not believe a former NBA sports agent and our number guys allowed this to happen

Who panicked 2 hours in FA and came out with a PR plan "We bringing everyone back and paying them more than they can get in open market..."
DID WE NOT USE BITCOIN to incentive players or something?

SOMEONE IS GOING TO TAKE THE BLAME either Front Office or Thibs or Dolan
DID WE NOT USE

Well it has happened but unless it was a one off situation - it would kill any remaining credibility our front office has... so we can't really consider that

HOW TO NOT BUILD YOUR TEAM 101

TAJ IS A BEST SCORING CENTER RIGHT NOW

RANDLE IS NOT A #1 player
RJ IS NOT A #2 player

They both should be the weakest defender in a starting lineup and 2nd worst shooter on the team
They are both NOT even B Tier defenders

We do not have a starting PG
Rose can not play back to back games, average less than 28min a game, yet he is making starter money and is near the end of his career

WE HAVE

NO LEGIT SF Defender
NOT 1 SF/PF NEEDED IN TODAYS GAME and even vet mins are drying up now
don't even have a BIG Center or a stretch 5

We have only 1 guard with the ability to penetrate, facilitate, and create his own and for his team, and he isn't even a starter
THEN WE SIGNED ANOTHER AGING combo guard in Burks SO HE CAN PLAY 4th quarter at times as a shooting PG without the ability to defend quick Guards

WITH THE EMPHASIS ON SHOOTING, VERATILE PLAYERS ON OFF AND DEF, AND 3&D players having at a premium at the SG/SF SF SF/PF, our rookie has the highest potential at this point and is undersized for SF

I have been a fan for many years and this is likely my last stand, i can't do this anymore, let me rant i need it....

What did you think of last year's squad? There's more to it then winning it all, I'm happy as long as we aren't getting blown out and competitive every night. Do you think you could have coached those guys to the 4 seed? At some point we should realize we are just fans they are the pros.

As soon as we lose 10 in a row, I'm right here with you, CAPS AND ALL!

Since Chicago had the offseason we wanted, I think this is a good article to read, and should easy the butt hurt a bit.

The league had control over the hornets in 2012. That’s why Stern stopped the Paul trade and subsequently rigged the draft to get AD to the Hornets so Benson would buy the team

Dude, calm down. The third year of the deals is not guaranteed, so they are all essentially 2 year deals, except Evan. The Knicks can create enough cap space next summer for one max or near max player by trading Burks at the trade deadline. The Knicks believe our young guys will develop into starter quality players.

Exactly, why are people still tantruming even after we found out they're all 2 year deals (apart from Fournier), all at moveable numbers? Who did they think we were signing and at what price?

We didn’t get to trade a second rd pick for Lillard and sign Kawahi

So when its all said and done and the Knicks re-signing moves end up actually being flexible two-year deals with the team option of a third and the new signing is just a three-year deal, will our offseason be as disastrous as many here claim?

Yeah, we still seem to need a starting PG unless one of the same PGs we hype (Vildoza or Deuce) actually wins over the position. But other than that, we kept the team that overachieved at reasonable and flexible contracts, most of them that could easily be included in a bigger deal for a star, while improving the offense with Fournier.

I think both our draft and FA are similar: none was sexy, but they both were solid, necessary moves that keep us flexible for that desired trade for a star.

Yeah there's some sort of lazy narrative that there were more free agents out there we didn't sign. Did everyone want Lowry for 90 mil guaranteed? Or DeRozan and Ball for 85 each? Free agency is no longer the home run opportunity unless you overpay big. The same people who wanted DeRozan at 85 mil probably were mad we didn't pay 130 for Hayward last year. Fournier, Burks, and Rose are GREAT value signings for the contracts they got. Noel not as much but whatever. We got better. The homerun has to come via trade with our youth and draft picks if we are being honest. But there was no homerun free agency scenario this summer. The goal was just to get better, which we did.
