Martin is not going to be happy about this, but the player who I do not want at 19 or 21 is Usman Garuba! He's an excellent defender and has a great motor, but he is very limited on the offensive end. Outside of a few offensive rebounds he may secure, we will essentially be playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end with him on the court. He can run some PNR, but as a team, we rarely utilized the PNR (See Obi). In a few years he may or may not develop a few offensive skills, but ultimately, I think there will be players available at 19 and 21 that will fill the immediate needs that we have as a team. I think there will be players who can effect both sides of the ball at 19 and 21 that I would take before Garuba.

To be honest I'd be fine with whoever we get as long as the two picks balance each other out. For example, if we get a long term project pick like Ziare, then we ought to get a flat out bucket like Mann or good role players like Butler/Duarte. I'm not completely opposed to Garuba but the focus should be on guys who can put the ball in the basket and more.

Cam. He just gives me Alonzo Trier vibes in terms of his attitude. Also, if he's not scoring, I'm not sure he has another skill teams can consistently count on to contribute to winning.

Usman Garuba I'd love with pick #32.

I don't know who I don't want but I do know I want both Cooper and Mann @ 19 and 21.

great.. its like Im heading to a party and I just learned the two chicks I'm totally crushing on both have the clap. Yeahhhhhh

If I had a "realistic wish list" of two guys to get at 19/21 its Cam Thomas and Garuba. Both are specialized 1-way players but I see no reason both cant develop to be at least role players on the other side of the ball with more upside than that. They give you an athletic pair of prospects who can also earn rotation minutes and help the coach right away.

Honestly I really trust the front office and will be excited with whatever buttons they press. I like Sexton. I like tons of guys in the draft. Its not a sexy FA class but there are good players to plug holes if we end up guard heavy or big heavy because we drafted BPA etc so I fell really good about whatever happens.

Jalen Johnson doesnt scare me. Kids acting immature dont scare me. Ignorant FOs throwing poo on walls scare me. If we draft someone like Jalen Johnson it will be under heavy scrutiny, with plenty of intel and input from not only the scouts but the guys who will coach him.

"Can you work with this kid?"
"I dont think he's right for our program" or "He's raw and it could take time but I love his attitude and personality and even his family"
etc etc etc

That being said I think the most overrated guy is Kispert. I just feel like we have seen this show before and its ok at best

For picks 19 and 21. I’m not a huge fan of Jackson. We already have Robinson and it will purse him off too

LMAO @ the bolded....I don't dislike Garuba, I just think at 19 or 21, there should be players available that can defend (not at Garuba's level, but is more than formidable on the defensive) and also give us a lift on the offensive side of the ball too. Players like Jared Butler and Ziaire Williams.

Cam Thomas is very intriguing. He checks 2 critical boxes: can create his own shot and can shoot it from deep (he has logo range). He shot 39-40% on catch and shoot 3's. If he gets consistent minutes, he is going to drop 30 more than once next season, no doubt. The problem with Cam is that he is streaky and when he's not scoring he's not doing anything else. Wouldn't be upset if we grabbed Cam, though.

I think having 2 picks so close really changes things. I might see if I could move 21 to 20 with that 58 pick and another future 2nd if there are two guys I love at 19

I think its a given we can secure a pair of role players here, and that's not a bad thing... I kind of hope we shoot high with at least one of these (32 might be an option there also). There's a LOT of scorers in this draft for sure...

No, not even close. Best case, you use a rubber and keep it moving. Worse case, you need antibiotics and you're out of commission for a few weeks. With the picks you're in a marriage contract and if you're in for a mess if it fails. I want to add that I've never had the clap and I'm guessing on the recovery time.

Im with Briggs- the guy who's name is most linked to us that I don't really want is Jackson. I do feel like Garuba has some Capela to him, so I'd be down for that...interested in seeing his Olympics peformance.
