I’m going butler. He seems to have the more complete package than the rest.

Who do you have?

Butler is someone that doesn’t get much discussion and is a great fit and has a great chance to get drafted here. 2-way combo guard that can shoot, handle and defend.

Is his health issues already behind him? marc Berman reported the Thibs really like McBride. Zaire Williams is also in play. Ideally if we get a PG, SG/SF and a C. Thats would be good but i dont think the knicks want 3 rookies next year.

For the PG - in curious about Cooper and McBride
SG/SF- Murphy, Cam Thomas, Vrenz and Zaire
C- Isaiah Jackson

What is the ideal combination of players we can get with 19, 21 and 32?

I wanted Butler with our 2nd round pick, last year, before he withdrew his name from the draft. Similar to Michael Porter JR, his draft stock is falling strictly because of a medical condition. Without the medical condition, he's probably a top 15 pick.

IMO, Outside of Tre Mann, if Butler is available when we pick, he's probably the best lead guard fit for the way we play. Not only is he effective with the ball, but he is a good spot up shooter and will be a threat without the ball when Randle or RJ is initiating offense. He's also a good defensive player, gets lots of steals and deflections...

NBATV -- FWIW had a mock where butler went early. IIRC it had Mitchell to GS and Butler to Indiana --- seemed plausible

I like Mann the best. I'm intrigued by Cooper's playmaking and speed, but scared by his shooting. Still because of the upside he's no.2. I'm kind of indifferent between Butler and McBride, but I see the the merits of both. Outside this list is Jaden Springer who I can also see in that range.

I like a lot of these guys... its impossible to tell but after watching more and more of McBride and hear Thibs likes him I see why.

McBride's 6'9 wingspan and upper tier athleticism make his ranking in these mocks curious... or a testament of the depth in this draft

Winning team
2-way player
Can shoot the 3
NBA+ athlete
Gritty, fearless Thibs guy

Im sold on McBride being our guy. It really fits

Boards have him all over. Some as low as 31? Will be interesting. Like Wieskamp and Hyland in this area as well.

The difference in the multiple mock drafts goes to show how this draft is so close in talent past the top 2 or 4. Butler would be good but talk of him going top 15. Seems like he will be a solid pro and already show maturity and composure. I liked Murphy III the most but the talk is that he will go top 15. So many good but not incredible players that are rumored to be around the 19 and 21. Such Cam, Hyland, Jackson, Mann, Springer, Duarte, etc etc. Will be interesting. I would be okay with them keeping 19 and 21 and picking up a SF and PG. Wanted Jalen Johnson but he has climbed up as well. Still think they go with the Kentucky connection in Jackson and look to target a PG/SG like Butler/Mann/Thomas.

I like Murphy @19 then Cooper/Mann. I think Cooper makes Toppin a better player, opens up his game. I just want BPA, really intrigued at pick #32, this draft is deep, a lot of good players will be there. Hope we keep the picks, don't trade up!

I really do think its very flat between 15-35 in this draft. You could rank those 20 guys in almost any order and it wouldn't be that suprising. Makes me want to not trade up because we have better than average odds of getting 3 potential rotation players in this range. Maybe not a star, but I think there are potential starting quality PGs, wing shooters, and defensive bigs in this range and we need all 3 at the moment given our FAs.

I want Sharife Cooper @ pick #19

He's one of my favorite natural born PG's within this draft class and reminds me so much of Kyrie Irving coming out of Duke and this kid absolutely destroyed the SEC as only a True Freshman.

20.2 Points per game.
8.1 Assists per game.
4.3 Rebounds per game.
1.0 Steals per game.

This kid is an absolute baller and yeah he needs to improve his jump shot but he's a kid and to absolutely destroy the S.E.C. with 20 Points and 8 Assists per game? That's disgusting.

He can score as an attacking PG at ease but more importantly is his ability to create for his teammates because his court vision is A+ and his playmaking ability to be this young is scary.

If he was coming out of a powerhouse basketball program instead of "Auburn" such as Duke/UNC/Gonzaga/FSU etc he'd become drafted within the top 5 (without question imo) and if he had better surrounding teammates instead of Auburn teammates he would've averaged 12-15 assists per game because his passing ability and court vision is extremely rare.
