I actually took something different from this year. I saw a lot of teams full of All Stars fail miserably. I also saw teams that were good teams have more players play like all stars. One thing that Bud does so well is his efficiency on offense. He brought in more defensive players and played highly efficient offense. It certainly helps to have Giannis on the floor. But that team is a well coached and well constructed team. They do not have the same level of talent as many other teams in the NBA. But they don't give up eFG in their shot selection and they play tough defense. For me, this finals hammers home the role of defense and eFG in winning games. Honestly, good defense just makes teams take shots outside their best eFG. You say need more All Stars. I say need more eFG. If you open up these two shot charts for the Knicks this season. Knicks had the better defense this season. Bucks had the much more efficient offense. It helps to open up both tabs at the same time and flip back and forth to see the differences -- its hard to see by themselves. The difference is mainly the Knicks propensity to take 18 foot jump shots -- but there is a tightness around the Bucks shots in the paint and the bulk of shots from the top of the key. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/milwaukee-bucks-shot-chart-this-season https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/new-york-knicks-shot-chart-this-season It could be more "all stars" but in my head, this is the difference between 55.6% eFG and 52% eFG. Some of that difference is talent. Some of it is shot selection. You know I gonna spin wit it
